Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. My Daughter who is 14 is very interested in participating in some USPSA Matches. We are in Area 5, there are some clubs that have Juniors participating. I would appreciate any advice you can offer for Her and myself. Do any of your Children shoot in the Junior Division? She has read many posts on this board, but has not seen any Juniors Participaing. I have picked her up a Commander Style 1911. I will soon be getting it set up and working with her on the basics. Thanks, Colt
  2. I am curious to see what you folks pack in your Range bags? I get alot of comments about some of the stuff I bring to a shooting Match or a Practice session at our Local gun Ranges. I Guess I Take that Boy Scout Motto "Be Prepared" a little to far at times. Maybe that is why I made the Rank of Eagle. I along with my Colt and Holster Rig I have 150 rounds of ammunition, cleaning Kit, Repair Kit, along with Spare parts for My Colt. I also have a another Pistol with Ammunition, Just in Case I have a problem with my Colt or even if someone else needs to Borrow the pistol if the need would arise. In the last few weeks, I have helped A new shooter because they needed an additional Mag Pouch in order to compete. I have also helped many folks who might have needed a Screw Driver, Some Lock tite, or a Small hammer. I am new to this Game, I really enjoy the competition Tell me >>>> Am I carrying to Much stuff with me?? That Bag is really Heavy! Colt
  3. Thank You Flexmoney, link has some very good information in it. Does anyone else use a .22 for practice? I would be interested in some specific things you do. Thanks, Colt
  4. I was wondering if there is any advantage to do some practice with .22 Cal. Pistols like the Ruger 22/45 and the Browning Buckmark? I have a Browning Buckmark, The grip frame is identical to My Colt. The slide stop and Safety are similar to My Colt also. I have been doing alot more Dry fire practice and live fire Practice. I am thinking if I shoot some drills with my BuckMark it will help me with basic Trigger/Sight control. What are your opinions? Thanks, Colt
  5. Hey Joe >>> I have found my way here. I to really enjoy this site. Now that I have started shooting my Colt, I have found alot of usefull information here. I need to improve on my over all fifth place finish in the Fall league. I really liked shooting my Ruger P95, However I have learned I can do more with my Colt!! Good SHOOTin, Jim Our club is growing every week
  6. I have lurked the site for a while now. I look forward to participating with you Folks here. While I am not new to shooting, I am New to the 1911 family of pistols. Good SHOOTin, Colt 45
