  1. 124 gr PD JHP. Chronos at 170 pf. CK Hardcore, 9 major.
  2. Hmmm. 3n38 seems to be my gun's favorite powder for accuracy and dot stability. 8.6 gr at 1.170", pf 170.
  3. Yeah, the nose is dipping when the slide closes. You might try 9 and 8 variable, maybe even 7 variable. Depends on how heavy the slide is and how well the comp works. Trial & error, basically. I'm using 7# in my 9 major and 38sc, works best for me.
  4. Is there something wrong with the gun? Are the mags automatically to blame? Have you tried known-good mags in the gun?
  5. I use red Loctite on the mount screws, after cleaning and degreasing the screws and holes. The screw nearest to the grip still comes loose; I may try Loctite primer there (good idea, guys?).
  6. Maaaybe ... might depend on just how much you want it back
  7. Good to know we have that honest of a community
  8. 5.2.1 seems to imply that you can do so ... but I wouldn't want to leave my entire rig out in the open ...
  9. I've heard a good plan is to have a gun bag with you. Go to safety area, bag the gun, carry it with you to the john, carry it back to the safety area, re-holster. Works for me.
  10. Big thanks to everybody at your end. Gonna be a great match!
  11. Large, heavy meditation stone!
  12. Yep . I moved to an RTS2 ... and am paying better attention to SHAB and port boundaries.
  13. If you're shooting Major it has to be .40 (Appendix D2-5, minimum bullet caliber for Major). 9mm (or .38sc) can only be shot in minor.
  14. Yep, that email is sure to motivate the local shooters (it's a fairly small community, isn't it?) to come out and pitch in.
  15. It might be a "sight height over bore" problem, like you see with ARs. The standard C-More is about 2" above the bore and you have to remember to clear the window or port sill. Not a DQ offense, usually not a penalty.
  16. I guess a lot of folks know about CO after all...
  17. Working on the 2011s can be as addicting as shooting them. Have fun!
  18. Mine are 5-40. I believe that's pretty much standard.
  19. This appears to be a continuation of the "RTS2 Elevation Adjustment" thread...
  20. I recently mounted an RTS2 V4 on my primary open gun; it's my 4th, all V4s. No problem with zeroing or adjustments, and the dot stays on, as designed, on all of them. Plenty of up and down adjustment; just have to remember that it's a lot more clicks at 15 or 20 yds than we're used to at 100 with rifles. I also turn the lock screw out 1-1/2 to 2 turns before adjusting. Don't forget that the elevation screw will turn (freewheel) in both directions even if the lock screw is tightened down, since it locks the diode plate, not the elevation screw, and that can fool you into thinking you're adjusting the elevation when you're not. The windage screw will turn (in one direction), but it's also not changing anything unless the lock screw is turned out.
