  1. Yeah mine is pinned with a roll pin. I've tried the shock buff method and it works fine but mr postman makes a good point, it is introducing a potential failure point. It's unlikely to fail but the roll pin is even safer. In a game where reliability is everything it's worth the extra effort to do a little drilling. :)

It's pretty easy with a drill press but do able with just a vice and hand drill/dremel.

I agree that the pin would be the best idea for sure, but not having a drill press I simply don't trust myself to make the little holes free handed. Therefore I did the shock buff as a bandaid solution until I can get my gunsmith to pin it the right way.

You really don't need a drill pres to pin the safety first drill the grip safety , put a pin in it see were it markes the mainspring housing and dril a hole in there to .

It doesn't have to be perfectly straight if it locks it is good .

  2. I use the medium DAA backpack big enough for me for a day on the range , can take two guns + the ammo for them ( 300/400 rounds).

Spare parts , mag brush , toolkit , 14 mags ear muffs ,shooting glasses and still have room to spare .

And is small enough to realy use it as a backpack , i have mine for more then two years now and still looks great .

  3. nice but I'd go this one:

it says 'black ops' in the name so we know it's tactical and suitable for operators. and it's pink... AND it has the word turbo in it which should increase RPH up to the 1500 mark.. at least.

I give you the black ops turbo grip! only $7.99.

Looks more like a Hello Kitty grip to me

  4. one of the things you need to think about is if you want to drill the frame or not for scope mount. a slide mounted optic would take care of that and you can swap back and forth between uppers without any mod to the frame.

Yes, I will have the frame drilled for an optic mount. No worry there. When not having the open top end on, I will put mount a thumb rest in it's place. I already have a Nitrofin, but having a GoGun instead would be nice.

I think he means the opposite if you want to swap between a Open and a Iron sight top end you can better make the open setup with a slide mounted optic .

Than you don't have to take the mount for the optic of the frame everytime you swap .

Because when you do this you also have to re zero when you put it back on , and in time your mounting holes will wear out .

I have had this setup and noticed i did not swap the topends because of this , now i have my optic slide mounted and now this is a breeze .

I now can swap between my Open 9 , Iron 9 and Open .22 topend in less than a minute .

Without having to re zero .

  5. Yep it does , i use them in three of my 140 tubes in 9 major ( you need the 38 super set )only you have to make sure your spacer is fixed in your tube .

So he can't work his way down into the extended base pad.

I " bolted" my metal spacers in , drilled and tapped the spacer .
