  1. Had good success with egw fire control groups. For the trigger bow and insert sv stuff has worked well for me in my old limited gun, but recently have become fond of x-line vario trigger and bow that came in my atlas gun.

  2. I primarily shoot 2011’s for limited and open as do a majority of my friends I shoot with. I do have a soft spot for cz’s. One of my friends made the leap and offed a edge to get a tso. Phenomenal gun other than the position of safety. Due to the pivot point being farther forward, my friend with rather large mitts and myself with hands towards the smaller side had issue’s with inadvertently activating the safety on the clock. Made the decision to stick with 2011’s much easier. I’d recommend trying to put rounds through both if possible before deciding which one is right for you.

  3. It is in fact a rear view camera for a car( 50ish bucks on amazon). I mounted my bulletfeeder on a rak system mount and the camera itself is mounted on a gopro clamp mount off the 1” pipe for the bulletfeeder. I’ll make a short video when I get home from work. Got the idea from the other massive mark7 post, very happy with it!

  4. I have limited experience with many brands. My hands are somewhat small and I’ve had good success with GoGun’s. Used the racer cut and liked it a lot, recently switched to the opposable thumb on my open gun  and have since switched my limited gun to match my open gun. The opposable really facilitated me putting pressure into the corner radius which a close friend that knows the owner of GoGun’s was told is the correct way to use it and I have had good results using it this way. Another friend seems to really like the red hill tactical offering but I’ve yet to try that one. Figured I’d its not broke don’t fix it. I think hand size plays a big part of what “fits” you. My advice would be to try as many as you can whether asking someone to check theirs out, or buying and flipping the ones that don’t fit you. Good luck

  5. Thanks for link ChuckS, I’ve heard nothing but good about dan Wesson guns. Might have to go that route if nothing else presents itself. I mainly shoot limited and am venturing into open at the moment, but early next spring there is a 1911 only outlaw match I’d like to attend so that has started me down the path of this 40 ss venture. I understand the you get what you pay for saying is and most always will stand true. Just trying to explore options being as I won’t be playing in ss all to often. Thanks for the input thus far gents.

  6. After searching the inter webs for a ss chambered in 40,I’ve come up short. Sig makes the max edition and stainless match but both are out of stock everywhere. Rock island makes one but is a bull barrel?? Are there any other options I’ve missed? Don’t want to spend a lot since I won’t shoot ss regularly. Sad that sti doesn’t seem to be offering Trojans in that caliber anymore. Dawson has 9 Trojans but don’t want to be limited to minor only.Interested in 40 since I load it already for limited. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  7. I just received my evolution on Tuesday! I upgraded from a 650(which I will be keeping to load limited ammo). I am a machinist by trade and I can say that the mark 7 evolution is a very well thought out, very robust piece of equipment. Could I reload 9 major on my 650.....yes, I but I was limited to what powders I could choose due to indexing and such. I’ll be keeping the 650 around as a back up(which I doubt I will need for that reason) and to load limited major ammo. Best analogy I can think of is say a standard transmission in a  Miata and a Porsche 911.....they are both transmissions....but on a road course the difference is very apparent. Very very happy with my purchase of this press.

ps. Priming on the down stroke Is damn near worth it by itself?
