  1. I've been shooting CZ Open guns for seven years, I that time I've owned a half dozen 2011 Open guns in an attempt to make a fair comparison. I ended up selling all my 2011s. Read into that whatever you like
  2. How large is your sample size Sarge
  3. https://czcustom.com/catalog/product/view/id/14139/s/czc-brl-thrd-9mm-ts/category/207/ https://www.opticsplanet.com/lone-wolf-compensator.html?_iv_code=59-BCM-UASG14-LWD-COMP9M or the shorter one if you prefer *disclaimer, I haven't installed one of these CZC barrels so I can't say how much fitting is involved.
  4. I use the Gugas Ribas holster for my CZs, it works great!
  5. Whatever's lying around, I've even loaded 9 major in aluminum cases
  6. Barrel fitting is really easy on CZs, you just lightly file on the breech surface of the barrel. A used barrel will probably drop right in.
  7. In .40 yes, in 9mm, no. All .40 barrels are 14mm OD, but 9mm barrels are 12.75mm OD in 75B and 75BSA, but 14mm OD in TS/CM, SP01, Shadow
  8. 7 ish grains of Shooter's World Major Pistol
  9. Regor beat me to it! That Tactical Sports to Czechmate conversion thread has all the answers you're looking for
  10. Don't bother with those barrels with the little cuts in the end, I've tried them and they don't do much
  11. The Glock comp works decent, not as well as my custom comps, but if you add a few holes in the barrel it's alright. Have you checked out this thread? https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/265569-cz-open-build-theory/
  12. Glen, if you're going to do the work yourself I suggest the semi-fit option, I imagine the "match target will need the chamber finish cut, and possibly the OD and locking lugs, which is more than a non gunsmith should attempt.
  13. Looks good Brandon, I'm glad to see your project getting dialed in! 8 MOA is a good fit size for outdoor shooting.
  14. Nic, if you want to do it yourself and have something unique, turn your TSO into an Open gun, if you want to save money, buy a Czechmate. When you have issues with the big stick, are you shooting hollow points or round nosed?
  15. Sam, it looks like the peening of the hole by the dent I'd what's pushing the strike off center are you sure the dent hasn't been there since you got the gun, it doesn't look like it was made by the gas. The marks from the brass look pretty typical, do they have any depth to them? Can you feel them if you scratch with your fingernail? I'd say you have two separate issues: some gas leaking out around the primer (the circle looks uniform so I doubt the off-center strike is to blame) and the dent in the breech face causing the off center hits (the primers don't look pierced so I suspect it was there all along, I can imagine how it got there though). If you want the primer hole to seal better, switching to Federal would probably work and if you put a slight chamfer on the hole it would probably help bring the strikes back to center.
  16. Yes, you can also experiment with lighter springs (recoil and hammer).
  17. It's not the weight, when you add a compensator, it delays the unlocking of the slide so more energy is dissipated before it starts moving rearward.
  18. Gianmarco, is SP2 still available in Switzerland? They stopped importing it to the US over a decade ago, which is strange because there are other vectan powders available in the US today, just not SP2.
  19. Jake, the conversion kits are very good and generally drop in without any fitting whatsoever
