Ok, ok, ok.... Ok, I had this happen to me. I did a tactical reload, retained the mag in my left hand (to save time) and continued to complete the course of fire. the SO, PE,d me. I asked him to explain why. He showed me the IDPA rules on his phone and found a rule that justified his decision. i did not recall reading that rule when I was trying to learn the rules in the 2017 rule book. I later asked the CSO who has been in IDPA since it's inception and he told me that rule has gone away. They simply took it out. I had Not committed a PE. My guess is the SO had not updated the rules on his phone. i like the IDPA rules. They're simple, but make you think. How many people don't use their brains anymore and expect others to do it for them. Also the rules are minimized 41 pages, still a lot. ICORE is only 20 Pages. USPSA is like a Chicago Phone Book, that's ridiculous.

Ok, ok, ok.... ok We were at the Chapman Academy north of Columbia Missouri, a bunch o Chicago cops taking an advanced tactical pistol course for the umpteenth time, cause it was fun. On a break I saw a popper at a 200 yd distance and asked what the hold over would be for a 9mm. about four feet. Now I've been shooting PPC for a while. If any of you know it, that requires shooting pistol and revolver at 50 yards. The X ring is about 2". So I rested on a cable spool with my Beretta 92, acquired perfect sight alignment, and held what I thought was four feet. Fired double action, pressed the trigger one smooth continuous motion straight to the rear with our disturbing the sight alignment. One shot. That popper fell. We all herd the ping. Now everybody wanted to try the remaining poppers, it was like a frenzy, funny. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Ok, ok, ok.... Ok, I found another one I like. George Dickel No 12, 90 proof. Amazingly smooth and flavorful and not expensive. Again I sip all my bourbon neat, no ice, no water nothing to contaminate it, just like I drink coffee. Dark roast, strong and black, no sugar, no cream, no contaminates. I like my water the way, no contaminates, but I will add ice and water to it.

Howdy Sarge, I have a Ruger PCC. I think they did a good job making it. I have one of the originals. I found that if you put a vertical grip on the forearm it will torgue while shooting and unlock the forend and barrel from the receiver. Also the Glock magazine well adapter is a little sloppy, loose. This is not an issue with 15rd mags. But if you use a 30rd mag with an extension added (like to 47 or 59 rds) it will malfunction unless you shim the mag on the front of the mag against the mag well to keep it from moving/wiggling during firing. The PCC is accurate and I like the Holsun RDS with the Dot, Circle, or Circle Dot option. I've found I shoot faster, but still accurate with just the Circle. If I have difficult target on a stage I'll switch to Circle Dot for precision extermination of the target. I'm hoping Ruger will soon put the new forend with the rails on their parts list so I replace the hunting rifle forend on mine. I like shooting 147gr bullets to ensure target knockdown. But I usually use 115's cause I don't have a muzzle break. Really, a muzzle break on a 9mm rifle??? This rifle is very adaptable for juniors with the butt stock spacers. I use all three that are provided. Ruger very intelligently included those so the PCC could be adjusted for junior shooters. Bring your kids or someones kids out to shoot competition with this rifle. They'll love it, you'll love it. They will learn discipline and respect for firearms. Ok, ok, ok.... Ok,

I was very into competitive shooting and things gun related before I got married. Then I got married. My wife said my guns were a problem for her. Didn't know she was so liberal, but she was right. So glad I recognized the problem early too. Then I got single again. There not a problem for her anymore.

Ok, ok, ok.... Ok, I used to be a Scotch drinker, single malt stuff. Got introduced to the blends in the Marines. My favorite at the time was MacCallans (might not be spelled right) it was 20 or 25 year old. Very expensive so I didn't drink it too often. liked a few other single malts but don't remember what they were. Always drank it neat. (No ice, No water, No mixer) Then when out celebrating something one of the guys bought shots of Knob Creek Kentucky Straight Bourbon for everyone. It was then I had an epiphany. Why on Gods green earth was I drinking Scotch when I could be enjoying Bourbon. No wonder the Scotts use barrels from American bourbon distillers to age their scotch. Glad we had a limo that night. Again I always drink my bourbon neat, never contaminate good bourbon with additives. That's what the cheaper stuff is made for, mixing. Like Jim Beam, Jack, and many others. Although I do like George Dickel, Jack, and Jim neat sometimes. My current favorites: Knob Creek (always), 1792, Larceny, and a new one for me Old Forester 100 proof (white label) (not the cheaper one). These are my favorite wheated bourbons, Wellers 12 year old, Wellers 107 (107 proof). These two are very hard to find. The Wellers Special Reserve is plentiful but a little to harsh. Where can I find da rules for PCC. I want to know the equipment requirements for each division so I know how to set up my rifle.

Still no clarification as to whether a certain caliber pistol in heavy (.45) is good for one shot on paper to neutralize.

Howdy Rigger, I gonna guess you were responding to my question. As you can see above I never said 9mm belongs in anything Heavy, and that I am ready to switch pistol calibers for the advantage of one shot one kill with the pistol, IF, that is what the rules allow. My question, I thought I stated it clearly, was, does the one shot on paper include with the pistol. And what caliber does the pistol have to be for Hvy Tac-ops. It is not stated. Rule: 6.1.1.4 Heavy Tac Ops and Heavy Metal divisions will require only 1 hit inside the scoring area to neutralize. I'm looking for clarification of the rules. It's nice to know what equipment to bring so it fits your division. I agree with you, Heavy is .308 rifle, 12a. shotgun, and __?_ caliber pistol.

I only ask this because it seams that Heavy Metal Limited is required to have a minimum .44 caliber pistol and so one could surmise that one hit with pistol is all that is required inside the scoring area to neutralize. Of course I could be mistaken. It has happened before. I thought I made a mistake once, but I found out I was mistaken. Or, does Heavy Metal Limited have to deliver two hits on paper with their pistol? If they only have to hit once, then it would be more equitable if Heavy Tac Ops had that same advantage of shooting .30 cal rifle. I have shot heavy metal (.30 cal.) where if you had the minimum caliber pistol, only 1 hit inside the scoring area to neutralize was required with the pistol. Not trying to throw a wrench into this, just looking for clarification. I usually shoot a 9mm but I could switch to a minimum .40 cal. (or whatever) for a one shot on target for pistol, with .30 cal. rifle combination. Just saying. Thank you for reading this even you don't consider it. Happy Trails.... Ok, ok, ok... ok Shot this event for the first time. Brought my wife and she shot it in rimfire, first time ever shooting a rifle in competition. She had a great time. The R/o's were very considerate knowing this was her first time shooting a carbine match. That made it enjoyable for her too. Thank you r/o's. Curly was very happy, she was slow, but hit her targets, most of em, and did not spoil the day with a Dairy Queen. She knows that's good because she has seen me do it years ago. The guys and girls at Texas Carbine are great folks. I hope we get to do it again there. We are now looking forward to finding the same kind of events closer to home. We traveled from NE Texas, 70 miles NE of Dallas. Thanks everyone at Texas Carbine for a great event and making Curly and I feel like long time friends. Happy trails.... This sounds like fun. What are our options for getting gear to the stages? Can we drive an ATV to the stages, or will the Truck be necessary, or will a gun Cart be all that's needed or allowed? Do you have hotel recommendations? Can we review stages on Friday the 18th?

Howdy Guys, I have not shot this match before. got some????? Will we be able to drive our pick-ups to each of the stages? If not, will an ATV be practical? Will an ATV be allowed up to the stages? Our are you going to have a shuttle to the stages like they did at the 2015 TX 3 Gun Championship? Our do we need a push cart to move our gear? I haven't seen any stages posted on the website. Where can we see the match schedule? If there ready yet, not rushing you or anything like that, just trying to stay on top o things.

OK, ok, ok.... Ok, How do you find the squad list? Practicscore doesn't seem to know about the match. Match Director.com only shows 2013-2014. Cannot find a link on the FB3G website.
