  1. It truly is all about the feel in your hand and how the gun performs when you shoot. Having shot 2011 SVI's for years and now having a new Tangfo Limited, it's no comparison. I have large hands and the Tangfo is like a mold in my hands. To me the 2011 frame just feels blocky now in comparison. Each person will have to decide this for themselves but both can and will run great if prepped properly.
  2. I gotta put my vote in for gregcotellc.com. as well. I just ordered mags as of 2 weeks ago and had them in 3 days. He is a fast shipper and has great communication.
  3. Nice! Get some dry fire drills going and you're well on your way! Good luck and enjoy!
  4. Congrats to Ben! Alex Gutt had an amazing showing coming in 4th place. This kid is young, fast and on the rise!! No doubt we will see much more of him in the coming years.
  5. I honestly don't care about this because I'm not using the gun in production and really who in the world would look to see if the edge of trigger guard has been smoothed out!! If someone is going to cry foul over taking the sharp edge off with sandpaper because "it's changing the gun" then you have seriously too much free time and need to realign your priority values. USPSA rules are meant to keep the playing field level not nit pick trivial issues. Hell if I'm ever challenged on this issue at a match the guy ringing the bell better be able to prove it's been modified, and that is going to be nigh impossible at a match.
  6. Has anyone worked on removing the sharp edges of the trigger guard from a Elite model? My new one is like a razor on the edge. I'm looking to see what others have done and used possible to smooth this out before I start experimenting and marking it all up.
  7. Is there any differences between K40 and Mecgar and factory mags as far reliability or function?
  8. I'd like to hear what the guys running Elite Limited's are running for holsters and mag pouches. Any pro's or con's with your rig you would to change would be great advice also.
  9. With each match you go to you are likely to learn something each time. There is a constant evolution going on with equipment, ammo selection, etc. etc. You will make mistakes but all shooters do, this is just part of the learning process. Few sports can be this competitive and yet the person you are trying your hardest to beat will stop and offer help, advice, even loan you ammo should you run short. It says a lot about the character of the people that make this sport so successful.
  10. Welcome to the IPSC! It's a great sport filled with great people. Word of warning, it can be addictive!!
  11. For a limited class shooter using .40cal for major is either of these guns hands down better than the other for that purpose???
  12. Hercster where did you get your gun at? I've looked and not seen any for sale.
  13. The Extreme is quite pricey, nice but pricey.
  14. Is or has anyone run this in Limited division? How competitive is it vs the 2011 set up?
  15. Thanks, I just called it up and miss read what was listed as approved. Scratch that idea, back to square one............
  16. Is it possible to remove the mag well from the Elite limited model so it would be legal for production?
