When I first started shooting production two years ago I tried both 165s and 180s. Not a big difference but I liked the 165s a little better and they are cheaper so that's what I've been shooting. Usually around 136 to 138 PF.

I run a 10 lb in my guns using 165s.

5-10k sounds really conservative but I guess if you start running on the edge then you don't have any room to move.
I have two seasons on a cut Wolff 14 lb hammer spring. Somewhere between 30-40k live fire so far + dry fire. Never had a problem using Win primers but they are seated in a 1050.

RRA bolt is 15.9 oz
RRA buffer is 5.5 ozI've been using the RRA bolt with a standard carbine buffer (18.9 oz total) and a standard carbine spring without issue. Using 147s that are 135pf out of a pistol but 145pf out of the carbine.
Has anyone reached the point where the bolt was prematurely opening?

Just ordered an Iron City bcg with the black diamond coating. I was using an AIM Surplus lightweight carrier which will go in another gun. I'm curious to see the differences between the two.

Mine has ran fine. Haven't used it in a lot of matches since I mostly shoot production. I like that it is basically the same frame as my Stock II. I can't say too much on reliability since I've only got a 1-2k through it. Although it's near identical to a Stock II/III & Limited Pros which have proven track records. Only difference is you are shooting major ammo though it.
I'd buy a Limited before a TS for the checkering alone.

What is the increase in capacity? I've been running +6 printed pads with stock springs for a total of 38. No issues the 4 or so matches I've shot with them even after dropping full mags on the ground.

Initially I was thinking the slide stop notch in the slide was visible externally like on a 1911.

You sure this is production legal? You're modifying an external part (both slide stop and slide).

I can't insert a fully loaded mag with the bolt closed. But no issues if its downloaded a couple rounds.

I did the same. Printed some +6 extensions for Brownells/RRA mags. Run great with stock spring so far. I'm surprised no one has aluminum extensions for the colt style mags out yet.

I contacted Stretch. They agreed that was unusual and are going to take care of it.

Anyone running into short OAL issues with their Stretch16? I just put my rifle together and am getting a very short OAL compared to my other rifles. Using the Hornady OAL gauge, I'm getting 1.835" to the ogive, which puts me at a max OAL of 2.160" using Hornady 55gr SPs. That would put the cannelure inside the case neck.
For comparison.
Barrel To ogive -> Max OAL (for H55gr SP)
Stretch Wylde 1.835" -> 2.160"
Seekins Wylde 1.920" -> 2.245"
Troy 556 1.980" -> 2.305"
I normally run my reloads to 2.200 which is right at the start of the cannelure. I loaded one in the chamber and you can see the marks on the bullet. Knowing you should back off the max, I'd be looking at loading around 2.145" which seems awfully short.

Yes it is OK to remove one side of the ambi, there is no competitive advantage gained, and as you indicated, they come both ways from the factory.

Looking through the production appendix I don't see where this is allowed. I would assume removing the right side would be considered a modification and be prohibited. You'd have to replace it with a factory single sided safety. Is there a ruling that states otherwise?
You could swap basic external parts with ones from other guns from the same manufacturer that are also on the Production list.
Right, I know swapping to a single sided safety from another production gun is fine. Based on the the rulebook, I don't think you can just take the right side off an ambi safety and be legal. Hence why I asked if there was a somewhere stating that you could just remove the right side safety per waktasz's suggestion.

I put around 200rds through my RRA with my 24C without issue but that is with a none ramped bolt.

I had a similar experience with my gen2 except I switched to 125 RN and some CFE Pistol I had laying around. After 2k rounds, I tried my 147/TG load and it ran 4 mags without issue. But at this point, I'm happy staying to the cheaper bullet with slower powder that is better suited for this operating system. I'm glad I didn't messing with opening up the gas port.
