Found stages but not a match book. Is there one located somewhere?

Was thinking of automating my super 1050 in .45 ACP. I don't sort out SPP as I catch it all with the swager. I will sort if I automate but I am sure some will sneak by me. So how do you guys with auto 1050 prevent this from happening?

Thanks for the replies, but Question: I am in for trouble going much lower, e.g., 5.7 gr for 230gr Bayou, to get low 170s pf? Anybody else running below Hodgens starting load, i.e., 6.1 gr LRN, for this type combo?

Down to Autocomp for .45 ACP and 230 grain Bayou bullets. Load to 1.26" OAL with .470" crimp. Started at Hodgens starting load for LRN which was 6.1 grains --way too hot. Dropped to 5.86 grains (average of numerous throws at current setting) and still running 181pf. Question: I am in for trouble going much lower to get low 170s pf? Anybody else running below Hodgens starting load for this type combo?

I've been through almost all the SS pouches for USPSA. The DAA were the best for me. Tried them bullet nose out and have never looked back. Had to drill my own holes in them to set up nose out (they have a video for it). Stoeger sells them now on his website with the holes all drilled so u can easily test reg vs nose out. Yes, it is a toss up on pouches...I have some double stack plastic DAA's that are not being used...are the Single Stacks a little more sturdy? Yes they are. I had started with the plastic double stacks and the insert for SS. Much happier with the SS dedicated ones.

I've really tested it hard the last two weeks in dry fire. Within about 30 min it was becoming pretty natural. What I have noticed is that in swinging my hand down to the mag, my thumb hits the side of the mag and my index finger naturally slides/hits the front of the mag and I seem to get the same grip on the mags all the way through the pouches. With bullets forward I struggled to get the same consistent grip or position on a mag as I worked through the pouches. I'm getting all six pouches in about the same real estate as I was with about 3.5 pouches bullets forward. An added plus I noticed is that the mags are farther away from my body so in cool weather I am not getting my shirt or jacket tangled up with the mags.

Is anyone having any luck finding powder for their .45 loads?

I just rotated my DAA SS pouches to bullets out. Pic bellow. Curious what distance others who have done this have between each of their pouches. Much closer for me and it seemed like I was grabbing two mags sometimes.

I have the p290 and it is my everyday carry. I did send it in and have it upgraded with the RS trigger for no other reason than I wanted it.

How does one scroll through the strings. I seem to be only able to see my last shot string.

I struggle with left eye dominant (right handed) and aged eyes (needing cheaters to read). Tried lots of stuff, tape over left, bifocal in upper right lens, etc., etc. My latest attempt was with Decot shooting glasses, magic dot over left eye, and partial near in entire right lens. This was a HUGE improvement but still it still didn't feel optimal for me. I had to go had to keep the magic dot over left eye because although there was no issue in dry firing, in live firing I could lose the front sight during recoil of the first shot as my dominant left would take over during recoil. I've heard one of our current top shooters is cross dominant and rather than fight it, he embraced it. This got me thinking and so a trip today to the optometrist. My optometrist is big into vision impact in sports. He stated that most literature and studies out there indicate that the brain can process visual info faster through the dominant eye and recommended for my situation to embrace the left dominant eye to get the most out of a fast paced pistol sport. What we ended up doing is setting the entire left lens geared toward the front sight and the entire right lens geared toward long distance (completely reversing my current setup). He set me up in a frame they have in all offices where they can insert and replicate all the prescriptions into, and then essentially let me sort of dry fire with the end of a pencil until I was happy. What we found for me was that I shouldn't have the left lens perfectly focused at the front sight distance. Why? Because now my non dominant right eye had perfect distance vision and the brain wanted me to move the front sight to that point initially (you know, the old i see two sights one target or two targets one sight thing). It also didn't help that I have trained for a year under the non dominant right eye and wanted to index under it. By weakening the left eye's front sight focus a little (e.g., perfect front sight focus was a +1, we settled on only a +0.75) kept my brain from wanting to point to a perfect view as it had two decent target images now to choose from allowing me to index via the left eye. The little weaker front sight lens still allows me pretty clear vision of that front sight just not absolutely perfect. So we ordered the lenses from Decot and I'll know the true results in a couple of weeks (keeping the old lenses to drop in for pheasant hunting though!). He indicated that I may need to use the magic dot or tape over the right eye for a few sessions to sort of retrain myself from indexing under the right eye but the dominant left eye should take over pretty soon. I am very excited to give this a try. Not sure the above makes sense, and note that everything is relative and what works for me (hopefully) may not work for the next person.

Janr, I see someone has mentioned that they have to spray the interior of their PDR with silicone. I have never had to do this. Perhaps it is a little grabby at first but after a session or two mine is slick as ice. There are two very easily adjustable tension screws. I have also heated mine up to fit my Sig non traditional 1911s. A little grabby at first but again by my first or second dry fire practice slick as ice. Looking at the inside of the holster it appears the lining wears smooth at the pressure points. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Not sure there is a "best" as the choices are many and are very personal involving lots of factors including cost. There is a two page thread dealing with various choices that others have made under "single stack gear" if I recall correctly. I am a little confused by all the spotty info on how everyone is using the paste and the liquid. I love the clean up on a pistol, just wipe it down, stuff just doesn't seem to stick to the metal. But how are you all actually cleaning and using the paste and the liquid? Do you treat the pistol with the paste, wipe off, and lube with the liquid as an oil? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I picked up the Sig STX and love it. Hated to switch out the grips but had to as they were too smooth. What holsters are you guys using? I am using the STX for single stack and none of my std 1911 holsters fit very well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
