My STI Edge .40 lives in my safe while I shoot a MOD1 Glock 34 & 35 at matches. My wife shoots a STI Edge in 9mm but she doesn't shoot nearly as much as I do. I switched to the G34 for 3-gun because it is quicker and easier to abandon. Switched to the G35 for USPSA because the 2011 and the magazines just need too much attention to keep running well AND I have to be much more critical when making and inspecting ammo. The Glocks are just easer to live with. As far as the shooting goes I think the 2011 is easer to go fast with and I may get back to it if I feel the need to bust out of A class.

Keep your primers in line when you flip em
Petshopshooter replied to Petshopshooter's topic in General Reloading
That is always my fear but in 2 years I have yet to fumble. Now that I typed that I will expect it in this evenings loading session. -
I hate when the primers are all bunched up after flipping. I find them much easier to pick up when they have separation, this is what works for me. After the first flip into an empty shipping tray you need to comb them down before the second flip. Bruce

I clamped my GoPro IN the first car on pro2 and let it roll for all of squad 10. I follow the only pro DQ of the match. Steve got a high grip on the rifle and his middle finger snuck in the trigger guard to let one loose in the barrel. Bruce

I thought this was a great match! Big thanks to Mark and everyone that had a hand in making it happen. On the spinning steel deal, if you know it can spin you may wanna aim harder. It is the same for everyone and yea, spinning steel sucks. I had some shining moments one of which is finishing 15th on a loading drag race while stuffing em 2 at a time, stage 12 in Doe Valley. Stage 9, shooting through the barrel with both shoulders and a hard lean may have been the toughest shooting position of the match and I turned in a 4th place finish. Consistency......working on it. How about the empty gun starts? Can we have a round waiting in front of the port clipped in one of those match saving devices?

Shooter allowed to utilize a timer?
Petshopshooter replied to kamikaze1a's topic in USPSA/IPSC Rules
I can see it being an advantage but not for the better shooters and really for 3-gun only. Middle of the road guy on a long stage finishing with long rifle targets. His timer goes off 10 seconds before par time and he engages everything he didn't hit avoiding a bunch of FTE penalties. -
My G34. First I got all the production legal upgrades from MOD1 to shoot a major match. After that I had MOD1 get on it again with the deluxe package for 3-gun and added the TT magwell and basepads. It then went to Black Dove Customs for this ridiculous Cerakote paint job.

Easy, the predetermined process involves moving the foul crying shooter to the pro side next year where you earn what you get.....or don't get. Bruce

You guys are amateurs, I gave Nick a 20 dollar hand shake and a bottle of bourbon at the last match. I am in for the match, got a room at the lodge, a parking spot and keys to the ice machine. See ya there..........if ya get in. Bruce

Here is a quick star lesson for ya complements of Corey.

That was a good stage AT. I would not mind seeing it again. Bruce

I shoot a weekly indoor match and the smoke can be a problem but hardly noticeable outside. On a 3-gun stage we had to take a plate rack and a couple of paper from inside a car. With several makeup shots on the plate rack it got tough to see the plates and looked like a Cheech and Chong movie when I opened the door to move on to rifle. Bruce

I shoot USPSA with my wife and we are both ROs. Normally we do not RO each other but a couple of matches ago the alternate RO was next shooter so I went ahead and ran her. At the first port she took a target that was past the 180 and as soon as I said STOP she knew what came next. There was no protest, no long face and even an apology for putting me in the position to issue my first DQ. Her RO training kept me off the hook, she scored the rest of the match and I still got sandwiches. Glad to shoot with my wife anytime. Bruce
