  1. Don't waste time on those Tiny Flashhole 9mm Norma cases, I took pictures of the small flashhole cases and compared them with normal size flashhole mixed brass and sent them to Norma. Here's the response from customer service- "What are you talking about" it took them 3 weeks to move this complaint up the line to their tech advisor and get back to me. This is the tech dept response- " Those small flashhole brass cases are not meant to reload" We can give you a refund if you provide us with the original box with UPC code and lot# and original receipt from the store you purchased from. Much more trouble than it's worth, so now as I go thru range brass I'm on the lookout for any 9mm Norma cases with the tiny flashholes and either pitch them or use some for powder measurements. Norma has really dropped the ball on this issue, they just don't care. I
  2. NO, NO, NO......listen to noylj, you'll mess up the headspace.
  3. All good methods, I'll go with the Kroil, seems to be the easiest. Problem is the availability of Kroil. Only place near me is Bruno's Shooters Supply that shows any in stock.
  4. Hello All, Anyone have any recommendations for products I can use to clean the carbon out of my Compensator ports ? I usually dip a Q-Tip in CLR and wipe it in the ports between stages to lessen the buildup.
  5. Thanks all, I wasn't hitting it at the right times...
  6. I've been trying to find any 9mm on the website for months, morning, noon and night with no success, are they still in production ? it's now Sept 22nd 2021 and everything listed is out of stock-ALWAYS- Are they still in business ?
  7. Anyone have any experience with these 9mm new unprimed cases ? I know they're made in Connecticut by Truelove and McLean fabricators but haven't found any info on them anywhere.
  8. When I first started using LaPua Brass I did run them thru my neck sizer but it made no difference at all, just an unnecessary step. Of course if I see an out of round mouth I'll put it thru. Just remembering how spoiled I was loading 9mm on the Dillon SQD B, now on my single stage Forster it's back to basics.
  9. Yeah, I actually do load new LaPua 6mmBR brass right out of the box without sizing and new .308 LaPua brass also. I just make a dummy to measure loaded round neck dimension so I can use the proper neck bushings when re-sizing them.
  10. Now that sounds like a plan, I'll drop them in the case gauge and go from there. If they go in and come out easy I'll go to the expander die and pass on the the sizer, You're right about Truing the necks on Rifle cases, I'll run them thru a Neck Sizing die only if I find some that are dinged. I'll be loading these new 9 cases on the Forster Press, a little more effort but that's what I'm working with now. Back to the tried and true days of single stage Thanks
  11. Guy, I want to know if I have to size them first or not. And thanks for your help
  12. Just got some NEW Jagemann 9mm brass and want to know if anyone is doing anything special to load these. I haven't had to load any NEW Brass for years because I had plenty from my own chamber and I was loading on a Dillon progressive. I stopped shooting my Open Gun for a few years and went over to Precision Rifle so now I'm loading on a Single Stage Forster and just picked up a 3 die set RCBS Carbide 9mm. Do these NEW cases need to go thru the sizer? then the expander or just go right to the expander ? It was a simple process on the Dillon because everything was on the one toolhead and I never had new brass to put thru. Now, when Loading NEW Rifle Brass I just load em up right out of the box. Any help with my new system is greatly appreciated, Thanks
  13. Any one know how to decipher the Manufacturers pack date on the back of a recently bought jug of Norma 203B ? I've looked everywhere with no luck. Great powder, good performance, just curious when it was packed. Thanks...
  14. Hi, Getting some MG 121's and I'm looking for a recipe using both these powders. I've been loading 124gr MG JHP's over 7.5 grs of Auto Comp and 8.0-8.3grs of HS6 both seated at 1.160 out of my STI Tru-Bor with excellent results. Thanks in advance for the info I appreciate it.
  15. Hi All, Having a slight dilemma: I'm pretty sure about this rule # but I'd like to know if I'm in the area. After I (RO) scored a Target, it was immediately pasted by one of the squad members. The shooter want's to appeal the score. I... A. Call the Match Director for an arbitration appeal B. Call the Range Master for a Target Scoring appeal C. Deny the appeal D. Award a Reshoot due to premature pasting I would deny the appeal based on 9.1.3 which reads in part-If following the scoring of a target by any ASSIGNED RO, the target is patched or taped by anyone other than an RO, the score will stand as called and the competitor will not be permitted to appeal the score as called. Thanks, and Standing By....
  16. Hi All, Just took ownership of a dandy AR in 300 Blackout, anyone know what Boresnake to use ? The chamber is 223 and the bullet is .308 I've used a regular 30 cal rifle rod with a patch & it was OK but I'd like to use a Boresnake, so anyone that has info please pass it on to me. Appreciate it as always...
  17. Hi All, Anyone have a recipe for Montana Gold 121 IFP using HS6 ? They'll be used in an STI 9mm Major "Tru-Bor", my standard load for HS6 has been 124gr MG JHP with 8.0grs-8.3grs of HS6 seated at OAL 1.155-1.160 & Sm Pist Primers.....Thanks
  18. I'm running the same load as Whitefish in my G17 Carver Open Gun with KKM barrel and SJC 4 port comp. 6.8-7.0grs of Win Auto Comp with an OAL of 1.145-1.150 to allow for easy loading and proper feeding from the Glock Mags..

  20. Hi All, I was having a spacer issue with my STI 9mm 140's & 170's, spoke with Beven and he suggested I use "Pro Seal" Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive and Sealant. Ran a couple of thin beads of this on the back of the spacers(STI Plastic Stock) and they haven't moved in over a year.I clean the tubes normally with a long brush and wipe them out with a piece of Cotton T-Shirt. Beven Knows what he's talking about. This RTV Silicone Adhesive is available at Northern tool or probably any good hardware store. I got mine at Northern Tool for a couple of bucks.
  21. Open 1215, Dillon - Any Model, The BEST customer service I've ever experienced- been loading on a SDB for many years and if I had a problem I just call & they will guide you thru on the phone or just send you out the replacement part at no cost. I recently noticed a crack in my early warning primer system that houses the battery, it was a Sunday so I took a picture of it and attached it to an e-mail and the next day I received an e-mail stating "Received photo, sorry about the crack, new part in the mail" BTW I load 9mm Major and I don't have any powder flying out of my cases when my shell plate turns, just work at a normal pace and all your powder will stay where it's supposed to.
  22. Sarge, I quit AARP 2 years ago & they've been sending me re-up letters in the mail which I promptly toss. If it wasn't for AARP's support and their Bullshit Doctor's endorsements, Obamacre would have had a much more difficult time passing.FYI UNITED HEALTH CARE is AARP'S Product.! BTW I've been wearing my WWP pin on my hat, didn't know that they won't accept competition shooters donations, thanks for the heads up.
  23. Hi All,Didn't know where to post this so I'll put it here and hope members find it. Took my wife to a KOHL'S department store in South Fla yesterday and while she was doing her shopping I sat down to read the Forums and using the KOHL'S free WiFi signal was unable to get to the Brian Enos site, well it didn't take long to see why- this message came up-"This Domain is Blocked" www.brianenos.com and underneath this statement it read "This site was categorized in Weapons,Research/Reference" So for those of us that have Kohl's stores in their community be advised that they'll take your money but won't allow you access to a favorite web site on their WiFi. Shop accordingly...
  24. Ghost21, You were right on the money about Dick's, they sent out a flyer in my paper (Sun Sentinel)Ft.Lauderdale area, 3 days before Thanksgiving showing 2 flavors of 22lr in the 525 value packs-Federal and Remington for $19.98 They also stated that this sale will begin at 5pm THURS THANKSGIVING NIGHT & continue into black Fri.I went there at 6:00 PM after eating and football - ALL GONE in the first 15 minutes, they told me the lines outside were all waiting to get to the Ammo counter when they opened the doors at 5PM, I asked them if they had enough boxes on hand to continue this sale into Black Fri, but they said everything they had was sold out in the first 15 minutes. I wonder how many boxes they had, as they limited purchases to 1 per person.
