I started competitive shooting in the mid 90's when I was about 50 (Got my first 22 when I was 8). At 79 I'm still competitive but not as fast.
-
I took mine to a match, had fun, got back shooting with USPSA .

If you ever had to hit a swinger @ 100 yards and needed to make it spin you would understand why you need either 69 or 77 bullets.

I've loaded about 25,000 Precision Delta 9 mm using a variety of powder shot in my H-K VP9 and JP GMR-13 PCC. Most Winchester brass but also whatever else I pick-up. I load to 1.120" with no issues.
-
My JP GMR-13 has over 17,000 rounds through it, no issues.
-
I've been shooting the C-More for 6 years with no issues other than trying to find a store to buy batteries.
-
The last match I shot had a shooter using a drum. In most stages the drum failed. The shooter later oiled his gun and it seemed to work. I've had not problems with 40 round mags.

At that range, you can't go wrong with a 100 yd zero.
-
OP, How much .308 do you shoot in a year?
-
I've been running Delta Precision 124 JHP in my GMR13 with no barrel issues. I do occasionally clean the comp. I just recently picked up a 4# N320 from Midsouth Shooters.

I had previously replaced the extractor @ about 5000 rounds. I just replaced the extractor and firing pin again. I did determine that one of my mags has slightly wider lips , unfortunately I don't know which mag I was using when i had the problem. The gun has been very reliable with only 2 failures, of course the failures occurred in matches.

My JP is now 5 years old and I've run 14000 rounds through it shooting USPSA. Recently I've had some double feed issues where a round has been chambered but another round has been released by the mag and I get a jam. I'm running Glock 31 round mags with Taylor Freelance +10 extensions. I replaced the mag springs last winter. Any ideas on whats wrong?

I've been running a JP GMR-13 for years. The GMR-15 is built the same way using a blow-back system This is extremely dirty. I clean my bolt group and chamber at least every 500 rounds.

i bought a 1000 round box of Remington 115 gr which made 127 in my HK VP9.

LP is very good but if you don't mind driving a little further, Topton Fish and Game allows what you want to do and is much cheaper. I've been a member at New Holland Rifle and Pistol for many years but it is almost impossible to join.

A 40 round mag should be enough for any USPSA stage except for classifiers with a mandatory reload. I carry 20 round mags on my belt.
-
I've been running the Taylor Freelance +10 for 5 years with no issues. OP, did you shoot the Lower Providence match?
-
OP, Adjust your die to make the case even with your gage. OAL will increase after a few firings. Then you must trim overall length to the proper length. I've loaded about 20,000 .223.
-
I haven't shot much .40 S & W for many years but I was a high "B" USPSA shooter and also the .40 was my 3-Gun pistol. No way would I use a 220 gr bullet and definitely not use .45 data for a .40 reload.

Also check with the club you are shooting with. Two of my local clubs require that I unbag and load my cart at a safe table.

I've been shooting CO with an older VP-9. Running Vortex Venom on an EGW mount which slides into the rear sight notch. Lightened trigger pull. I'm using Springer mag extensions.

Back in the day I was shooting every weekend and frequently was an RO. I took the course to improve my RO knowledge. I never expected to gain a competitive advantage and did not experience one.

Regarding Midway, I recently ordered and received CCI Small Rifle #400 primers. Other than Gun Broker, I haven't been able to find any Small Pistol primers.
Does a Shell Holder Ever Wear Out?

I've only been reloading for 40 years but never had a plate holder wear out.
