I shot the match this weekend. The SUPS crew knocked it out of the park again! Great challenging stages! And the weather was excellent! I had a few friends come out to this for the first time and they said they will be back. You really need to get to this match!

Since the original post was edited and the title is kind of vague, I am going to close this one up. Try and keep the reloading stuff in the reloading forum
I used to shoot this. It was my first open gun. Nasty loud but quick. Once I got a hold of a traditional comp'ed gun, it pretty much sat in the safe. It was real nice with minor/light bullets!
Thanks for posting this! I have been getting stoppages every 100 to 200 rounds on my old 650. It felt like something was blocking the decapping pin or some such thing. I would just back off slightly and the problem went away. Some time back, I replaced the slide and the other parts since they were worn and the bolt insert in the slide was pulling out. I just looked and yup, it's the same as your picture. The current 750 manual shows a "13763 650 Case Insert Slide Ver 2". It looks like I got the Ver 2 also... Thanks for solving my mystery!

Yeah, a couple upgrades/rehosting/archiving has made many of the links dead. 20 years is a long time internet-wise. Try this in google:

I know this isn't a hate thread (actually, it really is but just in the wrong forum). We are bagging on other shooters. Let's not do that here.

You loaded and tested 100 rounds? What was the standard deviation of the lot? Something goofy could open up the extreme spread but 100 data points should give a pretty solid SD!
Check the bottom edge of the bolt face. If it is sharp, it can drag the "next" round forward so it drags on the mag well if you try and drop the mag. This has been a traditional problem with CZs and I see no reason that the problem could be realized with any slide. A very slight bevel on the edge fixed it for me.
Good Luck,
ChuckS
I have lost only one mag in the last 5 years (~35K lightweight ) and that was due to the weld up the back of the tube splitting and causing drag on the aft end of the follower. About 27K of that was with a non-ramped barrel. For the record: NFA lower, Alpha Sports un-ramped barrel, short stroked uppers. Stock tubes with Grams springs and followers.
