  1. I have heard that some 38 Super Revolver shooters are now shooting 9mm ammo in their guns. How is it working out and is it an OK practice to be doing this? Please advise. Thanks. Moon Clip.
  2. I don't think it is legal in Steel Challenge due to the arm brace. I think it's shoulder stock only on rifles.
  3. Have you checked out the new Luth Stock for the 10-22. That may be what you're looking for.
  4. I have two Kidd rifles set up for Steel Challenge. One is in a Wiland Chassis. To get the configuration you want, I just purchased a S&W MP 15-22 from the Performance Center. Weighs 5 lbs and has an MLok fore end to attach the grip you need. I think the MP 22 would be the better way to go. Again. Just my opinion based on having tried them all. Manny.
  5. Go to Kidd Industries and build what you want. Get the single stage 1.5lbs trigger and you'll have all you will need.
  6. We are switching over to Rimfire Challenge for most of our matches this season. Seems that's what most people prefer to shoot now a days. We also have Steel Plate matches and call them just that. It's either static or falling steel depending on what the nucleus of our followers want. It works for us so far.
  7. Well stated Dave. I for one, will be steering my Club towards the "Rimfire Challenge" type of matches in the future. It avoids a couple of issues that we deal with in Steel Challenge. Being able to create different classes is the main bonus, but contestants not knowing the course layout is another. Everyone started out cold, and no one has practiced the course for two weeks leading up to the match. I'm finding that more shooters like that format better. Again people, JUST MY OPINION, which even today, I believe I am entitled to. Moonclip.
  8. When someone in power is not interested in putting a proposed change into the system, it makes no difference what gets submitted, they will not implement that change. USPSA officials told members from Area 7 to write up the facts and submit them ( which they did) for consideration, and they never brought it up for any discussion. If you have followed the story about the corruption at the top of the organization you would realize it really is about the money.
  9. Here's some information that I got directly from USPSA Reps. They say that they looked into a .22 revolver division and they don't feel that it would be of great interest to a lot of shooters, (meaning revenue to the USPSA). When I questioned them about whether it was about the money or the shooters, they stressed that money wasn't the issue. Given the current situation on the web about the association's finances, I'm thinking it is all about the dollars. Anyway, my opinion. But I do know that my Club and a lot of others are starting their own Rimfire Challenge Matches where the revolver is in a class of its own. Unless the USPSA puts the money aside and caters to its members, they will continue to loose Clubs like mine. ELF.
  10. I don't think you would want to start out in Steel Challenge Matches with the World Shoot, but it would be a great opportunity for you to see how the best shoots do.
  11. Go to Allchin Mounts. The best way to mount your red dot close to the barrel and still have it secure. Don't waste time and money on others.
  12. I also wear a shell bag used for Skeet shooting the works well too.
  13. At ICORE Matches, at times shooters dump moonclips with live rounds to charge the cylinder with a full clip.
  14. I have the two Stage 1lb in my target rifle and the one stage 1.5lb in the plate rifle. The single stage is the way to go for competition with lots of movement.
  15. Squirrel45 Just get the Kidd trigger complete the way you want it and pop it in. Not a good place to be penny wise and dollar foolish. Kidd triggers work.
  16. Is anyone out there using a Browning SA .22 in SC with some success? Just thing about going a different direction. Your thoughts please. PS. I currently use a Kidd with great success, just thinking about testing the waters.
  17. I've sent them red dots for repairs and they have just replaced them with the latest upgrades.
  18. Send it back to C More. They have a great customer service department.
  19. Obviously this ignorance is coming from people who can't shoot a revolver.
  20. So have the 6" slab sided to remove some of the weight.
