  1. Started reloading 308's for my new build. An ar10 with criterion 20 inch match barrel. Bolt and barrel checked by Fulton Armory and headspace checks fine. When fired some cases have a round extractor mark, and burr on case head, only on my reloads. Also the odd round won't go into battery, and I have had 2that totally jamed in the chamber bending the case. I am using Dillon dies, and have gone as far as dialing down the die until it touches the shell plate. The case gage shows it to be perfect. I'm using Speer 168 gr HPBT Match with Varget 44grs. Chrono is 2637 average. Had a similar problem with my AR15 then switched to a small base die, now all is perfect... Are Dillon dies not compatible with Semi autos?
  2. Yup had the same problem. First of all clean all the lube off. Absolutely no lube on any of the disk parts, then make sure that the round spring that holds the arm down is positioned right. See owners manual with the exploded view. With no lube it runs perfect.
  3. In a dedicated tool head install sizing die for which you'll have to clean the brass first, I use a lee universal depriming die, and inplace of the primer seating install a GS CUSTOM swagger. In this setup you don't have to clean the brass first
  4. Had the same problem with CBC and Aguilla brass, using Precision Delta 9mm, I switched to Xtreme bullets. CBC and Aguilla now run perfect, and look like factory made. No bullet bulge
  5. Had the same problem using precision delta 9mm. Bulges around bullet on CBC and Aguilla brass, then I switched to xtreme bullets. They run perfect in CBC, and Aguilla. My rounds now look like factory made.
  6. Its the shell plate. The slot is cut too thin and won't release the round. I had the same problem with the 38 shell plate. Dillon sent me a new one, but the same problem, so I purchased a shell plate from GS Custom on eBay. The same guy that does the swager. The new plate is much stronger and have not had a sticky round again. They are very high quality.
  7. When you removed the shell plate, you must unscrew the hex bolt that locks the shell plate bolt inplace. If you did not tighten the little locking hex bolt back in. If it's out the indexer will not work.
  8. I have a Dillon XL650 with Mr Bullet feeder. I love it. Video instructions very good. You can't go wrong.
  9. I too had a 550 with thousands of rounds, and now a 650 and still have never had a squib. You can't go wrong with Dillon.
  10. Works great. Just like seating a primer.
