Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. For a match, I agree. But I actually enjoy practice more than matches. Cheaper primers to me equals more fun.
  2. I would prefer Federals, but seen an add for $350.00 for 5,000 (shipping and Hazmat included). I could not find Federals at that price. The last time i checked, they are currently all sold out.
  3. Thanks for the post. I am thinking about trying some Ginex SPP's.
  4. Have you tried the dovetail sight on any J frames?
  5. Thanks to all the posters for the potential primer supplier options. The supplier that I used for over 30 years still claims he can not get any primers and is not taking back orders.
  6. I have and still use a couple of Wilson 45 mags I got in the mid 1980's.
  7. Where are you buying your lead, locally or online?
  8. I have cast bullets since the mid-80s from wheel weights and other lead scrap. Now days scrap lead is hard to find.
  9. I did make myself clear. I agree with your position, and did not understand the threat of shutting down the thread.
  10. I agree, but why do I always do things the hard way.
  11. I must have missed something.
  12. I have 2 625's, a 625-3 (1989) and a 625-8, and a supply of .048 moon clips I aquired in the 1990's. .048's work in the 625-8 but not in the 625-3. I am currently clamping the .048 moon clips to a piece of angle iron and grinding off about .005 and finishing on a belt sander. This seemed to have fixed my 625-3 clip problem.
  13. Any update on the primer supply? Will it ever get back close to 2020 prices?
  14. As I get older, I find I need a deeper and wider notch along with a wider brighter front sight.
