  1. JP has a send in your lower program. Its what I did. It saved me some money and minus the lower, everything is JP and I couldn't be happier.
  2. Above poster is correct on the 77's, they work just fine in mags. The southwest 77gr is very good and the price point isn't horrible either.
  3. So the general consensus is a double charge correct? He mentions (hilariously) the bullet coming back into the case which would mean a squib but except for the light hit in the primer every other shot sounded normal, except for his last one
  4. My scope is a moa scope. I chronod my rounds and plugged bullet info and velocity info into a ballistics calculator. I use Ballistic for iphone but there are several out there. I looked up the moa drop info for each dot on my burris mtac and was able to figure out the holdovers. Once you know where each dot is going it makes things much, much easier. I believe your vortex is a mil scope but the idea is the same. You have to know how fast your particular bullet is flying out of your gun and then plug that info into a calculator. Then go out and shoot it to verify what the calculator says and to give you peace of mind about where your rounds are going. As far as ranging targets, to be honest with you, my shooting partners have rangefinders and I rely on them at matches until I get my own. When you walk stages rest assured somebody has one and you will be able to get the ranges for long distance targets.
  5. What optic are you using and have you been able to chrono your rounds?
  6. At least the guy in the photo got to climb ip the ladder when it was dry. I got to do it in a rainstorm. Just a tad slippery.
  7. A huge jug of E3 keeps staring me in the face when i walk into the gun store. Can't help you with the 38 but I really want to try it in 9.
  8. When I started reloading I began with 231 for both. I have since moved on to other powders but 231 is a great place to start.
  9. For uspsa you could get a couple more mags for the para and shoot single stack or if you eventually find mags for the 9 you can shoot production.
  10. I agree with the above poster about showing up to a match with what you have, having fun, and getting a feel for things. You can figure out as you go along what you will need. What do you have now in terms of guns, holsters, and mags so we can maybe point you in the right direction as far as what class to shoot in. Also, are there matches close to you an do you have a variety (USPSA, IDPA) etc.
  11. Thats my ultimate plan, to go blue. But I got the LNL for free so its kind of hard to get rid of but there are so many small issues that drive me nuts.
  12. The rod did seem like it was looser for some reason. I'll give the tape a shot. Thanks for the suggestion
  13. Yeah it's set up correctly. Haven't had any isues with it since I got it, probably about 5000 rounds ago.
  14. Has anybody had any issues with the breakaway cam wire on the LNL? Was rolling along today and then it just kept popping out. I would put it back in but it didn't seem very snug and would come out again after about two more rounds. There doesn't seem to be any obstructions so I have no idea what's going on. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  15. C-rums not only did my lifter but did loading port, trigger job, etc., and he did an outstanding job on everything.
  16. Jesse, thanks for the tips. Gonna start doing that.
  17. You can drive between stages. Large, rocky hill to go up for about three of the stages. Cant drive a regular car up that hill, would likely bottom out. Atv's are allowed.
