  1. What is a Caspian? Is it just a custom slide? A style? Different metal? I'm just trying to understand what it is. Thanks
  2. I was asking with the 09 more in mind but the 07 has been out on the market longer so i focused my question more on that model. Id love a 09 with a magwell for starters..
  3. Lol, i havent even put one in my hand yet to know if i will like it. To me it seems like a decent gun for the price point and while its not a 75, it has theoretical potential.
  4. Seems like every polymer gun can be made into an open gun, has anyone tried the 07?

    P-09?

Would it be feasible to have a magwell installed on one of these? Since all other "plastic" guns have magwells i am hoping that someone would eventually bring one out.

    P-09?

So in your opinion, this is a viable 3gun pistol?

    P-09?

I know that its a new model but someone HAS to have one by now. Please give a report, I held a P-07 the other day and apparently the 09 changes fix the short, narrow grip of the 07 but i was just curious how everyone was liking theirs.

    RTS 2

It mounted up just the same as the FF, I shoot a revolver and used the Allchin mount. That was the main motivation to get the 2nd series since I was able to remove the rail mount and bolt it straight to the mount plate.

    RTS 2

I recieved mine with the 6moa dot and cant be happier. Bright enough for the sunniest days and is so much easier to find the dot over the FF3 i had that i know the only thing keeping me for Open class was the optic. Now that i have this, im all in. Very pleased.
  10. Which one will run with cheap light loads, I'm curious since they are different operating systems...
  11. I will purchase one of these, I read a lot about them both but I want your vote on which one

    RTS 2

Is there a noticible size difference with the rts2 over the FF? Any way you could post a pic of the two? Also, is it that much easier to find the dot with the RTS2?
  13. I put better fitting grips on it and that has helped alot but I was liking the seemingly bigger window of the cmore. Is it noticibly bigger? My FF is the 3moa
  14. So I like nearly every feature this optic offers, currently I have a FF3 and tend to lose the dot and am wondering if others experience this and would the RTS2 be an improvement?
  15. I have been shooting 9mm .356 Berrys bullets of all weights in all of 2013 in my 686 and now in my 627 vcomp, and though they group a bit larger than id like, i dont feel the need to have 1" groups for the local steel matches i shoot, the steel plates are no smaller than 6" and i dont worry much about missing. I do have the correct sized bullets for the formal matches i want to shoot this year but its easy to find 9mm bullets on the shelves in various weights for practice purposes as well.
  16. I had the 4" pro, ran like a top!
  17. I like the stainless finishes on my Smiths, but i kinda wondered what a burnt bronze revolver might look like.
  18. Well, i bought BOTH! My 625 is here to stay, and i just bought the 627 vcomp. Not the all stainless version, but the black one. I like it alot and can hardly believe it but the moonclips actually load faster than the 686! Not sure the reason cause the clips arent any less "wigley". Then comp is, as far as i can tell, for looks. Atleast with my reloads. I have a friend that is a revolver lover and he is going to help me out with making a different comp that will hopefully run with minor loads. If not, it will be fun to try.
  19. I would like to know the best range bag for 3 full size revolvers and ammo and tools (moonclip tools etc.). What do you guys use or know of that can fit 3 full size revolvers? 6" barrels and shorter. Thanks!
  20. You guys like the 6" barreled 686s or the 4" barrel models better? I love how my 625 is quick to point and in my mind, the 4" should be comparable..
  21. Im shooting a 686 7 shot pro series right now, but im thinking about putting it up for practice only as i started shooting a 625 last month and am loving it! I also have a 6 shot 617 22 and am kinda thinking that a 686 6 shot would benefit me alot in the practicing of 6 shots. I already walk counting up to 6 and pair nearly anything in groups of 6. So im looking into the idea of getting a 6 shot and/or fixing it up into a "fun" gun for speed. Thanks
  22. I have a 686 7 shot and a 625..hands down the 625 is faster to reload and even though its a heavy bullet, im not too slow on regaining sight picture either...to the point i climbed to 14th overall out of 118 shooters at a match last sunday. There were quite a few 2011s and big sticks in glocks and XDs..not enough revolvers (2 of us) to have our own division so we shot "iron sight centerfire". Loved every second of the whole match.
  23. I went totally revolver earlier this year, I dont regret it a bit. I love doing alot of reloads and still place in the upper half against the semi autos. Also i dont have to chase down brass anymore.
