  1. Hmm, good point. I hadn't tried the 40 since, just kinda benched it since I got the 9mm..and admittedly, I shoot the 9 knowing I had to be more accurate AND faster to overcome the points. I do enjoy the fact I have more rounds in the 9 than the 40..does make the difference on some stages between a single reload and a second reload at times..
  2. Just saying that it worked for me, I'm having fun and taking 80-85% of the points currently and was only taking 70% prior to 9mm. Both are STIs so the caliber was the only change..i am assuming that alone is why I jumped in points..
  3. I am only looking at the 9mm Limited..I shot limited major .40 for the midsummer and on a huntch I bought a 9mm to see if shooting minor would help or hurt me. Turns out I am a bit faster with it over my .40. YMMV
  4. I see the slide and comps are fit near perfect on every open 2011..so how does that work if I were to have a bushing barreled 2011?
  5. Ok, that settles that for me. Thanks!
  6. So I am wondering if anyone has shot both major and minor loads out of their CZ. Is it manageable without a comp as far as splits go? I'm starting off building my 75 and am halting the comp and optic for a few months and am thinking if major is a big help or if I should just do minor and try for better hits. Even if you can post a video showing both, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
  7. Yes, I was thinking about open class, some stages aren't a big handicap with an 8 shot open gun so was thinking major PF might give an edge.
  8. The comp seems to be more for looks, but i use it regardless. I bought a differently designed comp and I think with the larger ports works a bit better.
  9. So I have been shooting a Vcomp and a PC 627 as revo division, and the Vcomp as an open division steel gun. What can I do without major chambering to another case, to make Major PF? Yesterdays USPSA match had me thinking that the extras points of major would help a bit..
  10. Perfect!! I like the looks of that!
  11. I checked out cheelys site, I will email him and see if he has any ideas about the mount for a CZ frame. Thanks!
  12. I would like to get this built up to near the level of a CZMate, the barrel and comp can be last as I will shoot it open minor for the time being since it seems like availability of parts will hinder the time frame most. What magwell, mag extensions, cmore mount (I have the RTS2) and springs to get the slide tuned for my ammo? I will be ordering this very soon because I'd like to shoot it soon.. Thank you!
  13. So I am ordering the 75SA, can you guys offer up your parts sources? Thanks!
  14. I understand everything you guys are saying..if I had things right in front of Ne, I'd probably be inclined to say F-it and buy the CzMate..but around here its hard enough to even see an STI 2011 outside of competition.
  15. I do have a P09 right now, and is my first CZ, but I'm around them in competition and like their feel, and price point. The CZmate was exceptional in feel and natural point ability. To build something similar is my goal, I shoot other guns but for USPSA, it seems like a CZ open shooting major would have a ton of benefits..
  16. I have serveral gunsmiths that COULD turn down and thread a TS barrel to fit the 75 if that is all it would need..
  17. So for ease of parts, the TS is what I ought to get?
  18. What would the trade off be between the TS or the 75SA? Obviously the barrel diameter..but what else? What mods did you have to do for the slide and barrel from the sp01 to fit?
  19. And if so, 75 SAO with a new barrel and a comp, drill the frame for the cmore mount? Or buy a TS and do similar work? I am only going to use it for USPSA and ProAm..I have other guns for other matches.
  20. Yes, it was good meeting you and would like to try some other matches if time permits.

  22. I shoot SS guns well, and like the steel frame and other features..can anyone show me what they've built and maybe some details?
  23. I know, I should use it as an excuse to buy another toy (semi-auto) but I only have a few matches that I need a auto for, so just keeping tuned up by getting my rear kicked is Ok. Lol
  24. There is a ProAm match this Sunday, all pistol and only has 2 classes : open or production. I have both a 8 shot vcomp 627 with cmore sight, and a 625 with sights. I heard that some stages may have 40 targets. Which should I got with? I shoot and load both fairly efficiently...
