Apparently they are doing the reveal for the finished gun at the Vortex booth at the ShotShow.

I watched he reveal last night on shooters mindset show. Considering this instead of a custom open build. I dont even know where to start with questions. What do do you guys think? I came back from my first match this weekend and immediately "tuned" the grip safety to engage with very little pressure. I might also replace the trigger with an SV, but not until it breaks in. I did experience some FTF problems with factory length ammo, but it was like 1 in 100. Most of the problems I had at this first match were either magazines nose-diving with new Grams guts and Dawson SNL base pads, and my unfamiliarity with the gun. I am still very happy with it and very excited to use it all year. Just need to spend some quality time getting use to the gun and platform...It's the Indian, not the bow.. I would want to ask how many of us DVC owners are planning on putting in a Dawson "Posi-Lock" magazine release/catch? I have heard horror stories about not having one and over-inserting the magazine during slide-lock, but I am not sure how big a deal it really is. Thanks for sharing, this forum teaches me the answers to questions I never thought to ask, but also makes me ask questions I cannot always find the answer to.

Forgot to mention that the gun look and feels as good I would have hoped for. I am by no means an expert in custom 2011's, but this thing feels as tightly fit as I would want, and the finish is as perfect as I was hoping for.

So excited to get my hands of this thing! I can finally assemble my magazines, setup my holster and belt, and get ready for the match tomorrow. Here's to hoping that everything runs as planned tomorrow! IMG_0813.jpg

Mine has been sitting at my FFL since yesterday. I am flying home tonight, but will not get my hands on it until tomorrow morning. :-(

It was released to dealers before SHOT show. Exactly this. Dawson ordered a few guns right after they were announced (before SHOT) and because I was the first one to reserve though Dawson, I was given that pre-order.

Mine was ordered in the 14th of January, about a week before Shot. So delivery sounds like it is progressing pretty quick if they are shipping another 20 this week.

So some good news today! Just got a call from Dawson Precision saying that they received a single DVC Limited .40 and that since I was first on the list they would be sending it out to me today. I have a second DVC on order, but 15 spots down the list, so I asked them if they knew of any additional shipments coming this week and the person I was talking to said he had not heard anything, but they always say that. Mine should be here on Wednesday. I will be out on a work trip until Friday, so after all this waiting......it will sit at my FFL for a few days. I would be happy to post pics or my impressions once it gets into my hands. Hopefully lots of others will be posting that theirs have also shipped out this week!

Just called Dawson and they said that they also heard that the first DVCs should go out soon! Maybe this week!

If they are shipping this week I will be a very happy boy! Has anyone spoken to Dawson or Brazos to confirm?

Extreme Shooters has been posting lots of DVC stuff, that is about the only news since Dustin posted a week and a half ago. Anyone else hear anything?

Getting ready for another match this weekend...dreaming of my first STI and getting my hands on the DVC! At least we are in a better mood and have something exciting to look forward to! Anticipation is the best part....until you get the gun ;-)

+1 on keeping the information flowing. Those of us that have already been waiting 10 week since our guns were ordered are obviously committed. But I think that we deserve updates. If you tell me that you are having trouble getting the Ti coating on the barrels done but provide some info on what is happening, I would be much more at ease than just going off of guesses and rants of frustrated folks. The Tesla Model S went through extended delays before they started delivering (many times), but they kept the information flowing and ultimately they kept most of their pre-orders as loyal customers. I know there are too many differences between these two companies to list, but I would love to see more communication from STI if possible. The only info that I have seen is the few posts that Dustin has been willing to share and a hand full of Facebook posts about the DVC. Hell if STI give me the info I will act as their media officer for free! No salary needed!

I would love to post a review once I get mine, hopefully in the next few weeks.

DirtyD, do I recall correctly that you had been told by your friend/distributor that your DVC and other pistol should be shipping out by now? Has he heard anything else on the DVC or are both of your guns delayed?

Not bored...anxious! It's freakin Christmas Eve baby! We just need to know if we are waiting a week or a month! That much would help to ease the tendency to check this forum or call our dealers five times a day! Well, maybe it would! I do have a serious question for you Dustin. Will the DVC Limited .40 run factory ammo or will I need to have it sent back to be modified to do so? I heard that the Edge needed to run longer OAL ammo or be sent back to STI to be setup to also run factory ammo, which is what is making me question the DVC.

I have been anxiously awaiting for the DVC's to begin shipping. There is a thread here on the forum that has 13 pages of folks that are either awaiting their DVC or are interested to know more. No one on that forum has confirmed their pistol has shipped or of receiving one. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=208660&page=1 Brazos had one limited and one open model at the FL open a few weeks ago, and a hand full (I have seen 3) of STI team shooters and pro's have one in hand, but I have seen very little feedback from anyone except those that have handled them at SHOT or the FL open. Supposedly STI has spun up an actual custom shop, and are doing a much more detailed finish process on the DVC's. Although they are planning on sending out these at a larger scale, I would not be so sure of the fit/finish being identical to other STI's like the Edge or GM until shooters get these in hand and put some rounds on them. Either way, the wait on a DVC is likely 2-3 months if you ordered now, so you have some time to see lots of field tests and feel good about your order if you decide to go that way.

Hopefully soon! Maybe Dustin could let us know when they begin shipping to their distributors? Also, if anyone else hears that theirs is shipping (besides an STI sponsored shooter ;-) ), I am sure the rest of us would appreciate hearing about it!

I did the same thing and reserved a Limited in 9mm. I heard the same thing so hopefully I am in the top 45. I sold a couple of my Glocks and some other gear to purchase one. On another note, I wonder if the factory mags that ship with the DVC are factory tuned? I would love it if they were, but I have not heard anything to indicate that they are modified or tuned.
