Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Its usually always the grip. Take a pic of the hands gripping the gun & post it.
  2. I have heard of eye dominance switch. Could be happening in your case.
  3. Right to left should be faster as the expulsion of gas pushes the recoil to that side anyway. Going with the flow SHOULD be faster, but its probably because that is the way we are taught to read.
  4. 1. She's looking at the target. Ask her if she can see the holes appear in the target. If she can, then she is not paying proper attention to the front sight. Front sight, front sight, front sight. 2. Like most women that I teach, she probably has pretty good natural point of aim. Which for a beginner might seem great, but since they tend to get hits early & easily, they tend to pick up the bad habit of not following through. See point #1. 3. If #1 is not the issue, check her grip. She might be reajusting slightly after every shot. Go see a pro. Just like I block out 90% of what my wife says, they probably do the same. The exact same words coming from someone else might solve the problem. Good luck.
  5. Just shot my first 3man 3gun in York. It was a blast. Welcome!!!
  6. A group of us are shooting a 3gun match in York Pa this Sunday. Hope to see some of you guys there.
  7. I change techniques all the time. Thats one reason I love this site. I'm always seeing something that MIGHT work better than what I'm doing now, so I try it. If a new version comes along I'll work it until I have it down, then I'll have another way to do it. I never throw away a skill that I've learned, ( I can still shoot Weaver stance pretty well), you never know when you'll have the opportunity to use it.
