  1. Karl at GT Targets now makes a 2 armed swinger that has the texas star arms on it at 10 and 2. It is weighted at the bottom and is activated by another target like a popper. If you call Karl he can send you pics.
  2. easy way to slove that don't miss and you don't have to worry about what isn't there. I'm just shooting steel challenge for now so finding 5 targets and knowing where they are 5 times in a row is a bit different than running thru a course and finding all those brown things to shoot at. Man... I may have to try a sideways mount just to give these jealous guys something to complain about.
  3. Sounds like a touchy subject...I have shot both frame mounted and slide mounted just not a sideways mount. I think for now I'll stick with the rts frame mount. I deffinitely don't like an optic slide mounted...may as well be shootng open sights at that point.
  4. Thanks I'll try it just so I can go back to the larger fov in the optic from an RTS or Delta point.
  5. I understand the advantage of the dot being closer to the bore. But what are the disadvantages to using a sidways mounted Cmore ?
  6. Inline or someone else sells the led light bars you can mount inside the press area. The lights work great and not to expensive. If it isn't inline then look on Ebay under dillon and you'll find it.

Ya it already sold, all that gun needed was a comped barrel. I just like shooting glocks better So I switched. Anyone can have a lot of fun with any of these guns. Ya just have to find what you run best.
  8. Just purchased 4 gen 4 G17's , because I like the grips on the gen 4 and not the ones on the gen 3. Why 4 ...why not. Gun broker has deals if you look hard enough, when prices are high you have to work to find deals and be willing to pay a little more for what you want.
  9. heck ya I'd give ya 300 for that 650. What a wonderful gift for my wife
  10. I had a few issues when I set up 650 at first but eventually you will work out the little problems and then it runs great. I do still get the occasional upside down case in the feed tube. Sucks if you don't catch it before it comes down into the shell plate.
  11. both the bam and the sam bushing are easier to use than the MKII as they are made right for the purpose.
  12. Best mags are the ones sold by Majsetic arms. not the cheapest but quality never is.
  13. Next time try Rimfire Sports and Custom
  14. It looks close, not sure if it is the same as the make the entire magazine themselves.
  15. I'm using all majestic arms mags for a MK III, a MK III that I built with a TACSOL bbl and a Volquartsen bottom end with a MK II Bolt and main spring, Also in a MK III 22/45. I will never go back to ruger mags. Selling all of mine. The ruger mags are fine for plinking but if you want the gun to run consistently in rapid fire you need better mags. Look at the button on the side of a Ruger mag. It rubs against the metal case of the mag and this is what causes all of the problems.
  16. Congrats on your first match. It's addictive. In steel shooiting there is no major or minor Load the as light as the gun will handle and run without a hitch. Now you'll have to build an open gun......
  17. I should say that I also have the sensitivity turned up max on that CED timer. This worked fine at a match yesterday. Only problem is an ejected shell hitting the timer after the last shot will add time
  18. Now thats funny, I have two and it's still funny No spinners with top side targets, when they flip back on impact they tend to send piecs upward. And don't mix rubber targets and pellets They will come back from 25 yds away.
  19. If The RO faces the timer towards the ejection port and stay as close as possible w/o interferring with the shooter you will pick up all of the shots. We use the CED blue timers mostly and this works fine
  20. You will find stuff on Ebay used for more than it cost new from Dillon. They only get away with it because peopl refuse to inform themselves before making a purchase....A Fool and his money....
  21. The OD of the shoulder may need to be ground down on the MK II bushing so that it sets against the hammer. But this is the right way to change it tried the washers before and the bushing just works better
  22. I own a 22/45 bull barrel, 5.5" and a tacsol lite on a regular MK III frame, I have modified 3 22/45 lites for friends and would have no problem buying one for steel challenge. The LCI can be replaced with a blank filler piece you can find on Rimfire Central( MKIII Forum) cheap and the install is simple. You can get a good trigger on the gun but it will cost you about 180 in parts made by Volquatsen that you can get from Rimfire sports. if you need help email me. The modification isn't that hard and it will give you a good trigger and remove the mag disconnect so the mags drop free.

    Glock Mags

Slowly this will calm down and prices will drop back to almost what they were. Just remember the places that didn't jack up prices like a bunch of whores and give them your business. about half of my LGS are now dead to me. I'll pay shipping and handling rather than ever give them another penny.
  24. I didn't DQ in my first year I saw two, one where a long time shooter threw his gun on the ground in front of him. Purely by accident he lost his grip and dropped it trying to regain the grip. He handled it well... My first thought when I saw it was oh man i just know that is gonna be me some day. How easy it is to make a simple mistake
  25. I have one for myself...they are just so damned much fun when you get it right. Most clubs around here have the TEXAS Star design from Terry or from GT Targets. They are simple and run with few problems with centerfire or rimfire plates.
