Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Glad you got it worked out. How about Bluetooth to iPhone or Android? That would be the ticket. Amen to that. I can't believe how much the remote is compared to the chrono itself
  2. I do have the resistor installed, I'll go back and double check my wiring. ETA: Had the resister going from USB RX and TX instead of ground. Changed over one leg and voila, it works! Great write up, really simple if you're handy with a soldering iron and wire cutters. I ended up just attaching a male 3.5" connecter from Radio Shack so I have a 3' "pigtail" of sorts. Then I got a 25' extension cable off of ebay for range use. The pigtail when let me pull data over when I get home without all the extra cabling. Now we need to make a remote switch to change strings when you're on the range and no laptop!
  3. I made the cable up today and here is what I am experiencing: When I plug everything up and power on the ProChrono, it flashes "rdy". I open the software and can change strings, but I can't pull the strings where I have recorded shots to the laptop. Anyone else experiencing this?
  4. So I have tried some different brass and the problem is much less frequent, say one in every 10 or so cases. Is there a decapper that "funnels" the brass into it a little easier, or has a radius on the decapper to prevent it from just hitting suddenly?
  5. I am trying to reload some .223 that I have resized on my 550b with a Dillon sizing die and trimmed with an rt1200. Brass is all LC Nato, 1.750. In station one I have a Lee Universal Decapper (solely to make sure my flash holes are free of media). Every time I raise the shell plate, the rim of the brass hits the decapping pin just enough to stop the machine, and I have to release the bullet from station 3 and jiggle the brass in station one for it to line up and go in. I've tried raising and lowering the die, I've tried adjusting the paper clip, adjusting the shell plate bolt. Not sure what else to try. Removing the die and slowly rolling it, looks like the pin is perfectly straight. Any idea? Should I just forgo the lee die and get a Dillon Universal decapper?
  6. How much did it reduce the reset? I have the LEM on one of my USPc's, and I love the DA only, just want to clean up the reset
  7. Been reading articles here for a long time, finally joined. Waiting on Uncle Sam to help me order a 550b from here. Can't wait to get going progressive style as the ole single stage is wearing me out.
