Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. We have a monthly 3 gun match at Cleveland(TN) hunting and rifle club. Octobers match is this saturday. Small match, usually 10-15 people. http://www.chrpc.com/index.html
  2. I love crossfit and crossfit endurance. I used to train for and race Iron distance triathlon. After a few months of crossfit I feel much stronger and healthier. I Know I wouldnt PR an ironman but i bet I havent lost any fitness for sprint distance triathlons. I think its an all around good system. Has anyone tried any of the Gym Jones workouts? http://www.gymjones.com/
  3. Thanks for all the replies everyone. After handling many and shooting a few I have decided on a CZ-75 SP-01. Fits my hand the best. Now I need belt, holster, mag pouches, ect. Getting there, but slowly.
  4. I'm slowly collecting all the gear I need to shoot my first match. I've been a shooter for some time but always slow fire at one target. Can anyone point me to a good video for a new IPSA shooter to get started? I need some drills for on the range as well as Dry fire exercises. I see a lot of them out there but which ones have the most current information? thanks, Chip
  5. Thanks for the replies guys. Sean, manually pulling the slide back makes sense. I'll try that.
  6. Hello, I have been interested in shooting, especially practical shooting for a long time now. I havent had the time to get involved until recently. My wife and I were able to watch part of the GA state championship today. Afterwards we stopped by a gun shop to handle some of the guns we saw. I shoot left handed and what little shooting I have done has been with a 1911. I can hit the slide release with my trigger finger. On all the double stack guns I handled today(glock, sig, hk, XD ect) I am not able to hit the slide release with my left hand. I can see this causing me a big problem with reloading. All that to ask this question. What is the best hand gun for practical shooting for a left handed shooter? Both of us plan on shooting in the production class. Thanks! Chip Whitworth
  7. Thanks! None of those are close but I have sent e-mails to a few. There is a match at one next weekend so i'm going to go and check it out. again, Thanks for the reply.
