  1. Ive had one light strike on my 226x5 competition, but it was due to a high seated primer. My x5s, 226, 229, gp100 and a pair of 627s have fired off 3500 rounds and only had the one issue. I don't regret the purchase and don't mind seeing 5 cases in my reloading closet.
  2. So I'll admit that i goofed up 2 rounds last night. The minimum col from the Hornady manual is 1.230". The first round measured 1.205" and the second 1.215". I was using the max load of 5.7gr of hp38. I don't have a bullet puller and have no problem disposing of these round, but do you think it will be safe to shoot them? I'd be using a stainless sig p220
  3. I'm using the following loads for my 226, 229 and 226x5. 115gr mg 115gr jhp 4.8 gr hp38 1.15" 124gr PD fmj 4.5gr hp38 1.150" [not 100% sure on the oal) 115 gr plated 4.6gr 1.116" the plated bullets are a very light shooting load. prefer the top 2 though.
  4. The tray setup is slightly annoying with them since I try to load up the pick up tries in multiples of 100. I never tried them before yesterday, but loaded up about 1500 rounds of 45, 38 and 357 with them. In hindsight I shouldn't have done that much with them right away just in case they were bad. But I shot 150 45s that were loaded up yesterday and every single one went bang. They are good to go. Just wish they switched to a different tray that actually makes sense.
  5. Thank you very much =) The place I ordered the feeder didn't have any plates but the LGS has some Dillon ones.
  6. Are the case plates with the Hornady case feeder interchangeable with the Dillon ones? I've heard both yes and no from different sources so I'd like some clarification on that matter. Thanks.
  7. I reload about 300 357mag rounds an hour on my LNL without a case feeder. I'm around 400 an hour with 38 special. I haven't had any issues with the priming system on the LNL. There's just no way you can match the speed a progressive press can do with a turret press. On my Lee Classic Turret press using both the auto indexing rod and priming system on the press I was never consistently above 150 rounds/hour. I don't think you can go wrong with a LNL, Dillon 550 or Square Deal B (assuming you only want to reload pistol calibers).
  8. I bought the ergo handle, the 2 piece lights plus an extra set, the low primer warner and the ergo handle. Everything is installed and works great. I put the extra set of lights on my lee classic turret press and it lights up all the cases i've tried in the press well except 357 (which honestly I wasn't expecting due to its length on the lee press). I'd like to do some more loading but it's been sweltering in Fargo this past week and being outside is just not fun lol. The Inline Fab components are top quality, well worth the money.
  9. I started reloading in a lee classic turret press. Definitely recommend. If your reloading pistol calibers I'd recommend going with the lee 4-die package. Haven't had a single issue with those dies. I did upgrade to a LNL AP press and am in the process of getting that set up. Stitching over to RCBS and dies.
