  1. 1.135 is perfect through all of my glocks.
  2. Interesting stuff. From the description and reviews it looks like I'll have to get some for my Girlfriend too. Seems like it may benefit her.
  3. I could be completely off base here, but... The rifling I believe is different in the stock barrel compared to the Storm Lake, no? They could be chambering the rounds with slight differences and one barrel be a tad tighter and thus retaining more lead with a tighter hold. I know when I used my Lone Wolf barrels prior to getting rid of them, they were tighter than stock and LW offered to adjust them to my rounds. But again, I could be way out in left field with this guess.
  4. As stated earlier in the thread I run they berry's 147gr over w231. Currently happy with 3.7gr. Though I have been curious to try it with other powders. However I still have about 8.5lbs left of it, lol.
  5. Shooters Connection has them in stock. Excellent! Guess I better go place an order.
  6. I've only tried Lone wolf barrels. Though I've been wanting a few KKM's for some time. They obviously were drop in's and performed quite well and locked up tightly. Their chambers were a little tight though, but LW is willing to bore it out slightly if you send them a few rounds and some cash. (I've never had them do this.)
  7. I've been waiting for the Jagers to come back in stock. I'm running one of my 17's with a Glocktriggers.com Edge trigger and it's been flawless so far. However the striker is something I've been wanting to swap. This thread has definitely helped me in solidifying that decision.
  8. I load these over W231. I love how they feel through my 19, 17, 26 and 34. Very smooth and not snappy. Obviously reloading for glocks you'll have to be aware of your OAL, as longer loads sometimes have issues in magazines. I keep them at 1.135" and have no problems at all.
  9. I check mine for weight variations. Then load up a few dozen rounds to test out. If it gives me any fluctuations, I'll rework the load slightly, but otherwise I just get going with my pet loads.
  10. Yep, had an extra LW G34 threaded barrel and it was TIGHT no matter what I put in there. Shot fine with 115gr and 147gr, but was deceiving when drop testing. Ended up selling the barrel because I didn't use it enough. They definitely are tighter though, despite what LW says.
  11. I run my 147gr at 1.135, granted it's over W231. Runs fine out of every type of gun I've put it through.
  12. I didn't read over everyones replies in depth, but didn't see anyone mention it. Make sure you load up a few magazines along with doing the barrel drop test. What may fit in your barrel may not feed reliably from your magazines. (I know it's an issue in Glocks.)
  13. My 147gr loads feel quite light, but not .22 light. I think what was being described to you is that the round has more of a push type feel instead of the snappy feel of the 115gr. As for the load? I'm a little surprised he asked you for that information? But maybe it's just me being a stickler for working my loads up. If someone makes a suggestion on a load, I'll still start lower and work my way to it. I love how 147gr shoots, and now I barely take the time to run 115gr. I produce maybe 100-150 rounds of 115gr for every 1000 147gr that I run. And even then it's just stockpiling. I barely use the stuff unless I'm running it through a new gun or barrel. I use the same powder for them though (W231) so it makes going back and forth quite easy since I know the loads I enjoy to shoot.
  14. Running on a progressive using mixed headstamp, I originally was chasing after consistant OAL's. But after running thousands upon thousands of rounds realized... In 9mm this is sort of normal since each brand of brass is a little different, and not something to worry about. Considering the accuracy of digital calipers, I'm happy as long as it's +/- .004 either way. I typically load to 1.135" so I have plenty of room to go in either direction without worrying about pressure or length. The accuracy of my rounds has been more accurate than I am, so unless I see some major issue I'll continue to produce my ammo with those minor variations.
  15. Congrats on a great start! It's definitely an addiction. How did you like the WSF? I'm currently loading Berry's with 231 and considering changing to something else! Was it very dirty or did it make for an easy clean up afterwards?
  16. When it comes to minor loads, as long as the primer pocket is still tight, there's no splits and it looks good to go, then I'll continue to use it. No set number of uses in mind as I inspect it all prior to loading it and some manufacturers last longer than others. Major would be a totally different story.
  17. I definitely prefer the 147's. The push feel is far superior in my hands. 124's perform great and are definitely usable, but as always it comes back to personal preference.
  18. I've had no problem using pulled bullets for range fodder, but I prefer new bullets for any serious shooting. I had a batch of about 500 bullets I pulled from a lot of ammo that all had marks from their factory crimp. I just made sure I didn't over do it and checked the bullets for any splits in the plating. Once I made sure they were good to go, I loaded and crimped them to .376 and felt it was perfect. That's slightly more than I use on new bullets, and have always been very successful in my loading.
  19. I've used both Berry's 115 and 147gr rn bullets, however over W231 powder. You'll have to do the research and work up your loads yourself in regards to what powder you're using, however as far as length is concerned, I found 1.135 to be perfect for my Glocks 17, 19, 26, 34, 34 LWD barrel, and finally in an M&P 9. Glocks typically require loads to be loaded slightly shorter than other guns, but only because of the magazines, not your chamber. You'll often times see the 1.169 length listed as a maximum length and many will tell you to load as long as possible to fit into your specific gun. Just make sure whatever length YOU pick, that you test it in your magazines as well. As suggested earlier do a search, you'll find LOTS of good information.
