  1. Welcome from a fellow Colorado shooter!
  2. Love their handguards, they do custom lengths too IIRC. Only downside is the price but the quality lasts well past when the cost is forgotten.
  3. Locally Cabela's seems to be the most regular, but at $80/brick with a 1k limit. I've had limited luck with Scheels at $5ish/100 but limit of 200 per person.
  4. Shooting, and discovering every gun would be from a red dot, is how people even well employed people become poor!
  5. Would you mind sharing who's making the +2 extensions? I'm familiar with the Armory Craft +1's but not any +2's. Thanks!

    Which one?

    Oatmeal Stout. Killian's or Bass?
  7. If you do leave the firearms behind temporarily, and you have plans to travel back to South Africa, have you considered a bank safety deposit box? It sounds like selling them might be a permanent solution to a temporary problem... even though they can be replaced personally that would be my last choice. After shooting 10k rounds through my Glock it's no longer just tupperware, it's my tupperware.

  9. Any thoughts on the STI Trojan 6 vs. the STI TargetMaster?
  10. Bumping an old thread... For 2015 I'm sad to say around 1k in 5 or so trips the the range. For 2016 I'm hoping to add another 0 to that and well on my way.

    Short funny jokes

Why is 6 scared of 7? Because 7 ate 9 -or- Because 7 is a registered 6 offender.
  12. ~4.5k due to a move early in the year and lack of solid employment. (3k of 9mm, 500 .45, and 1k of .22 give or take a bit). Looking forward to more trigger time this year!
  13. Alan, I didn't get an email from Mike... were they in regard to previously reserved units? My interest post was on July 31st.
  14. If it doesn't fit stock Glock holsters would there be any reason (other than cosmetic) that one couldn't have the contours machined match a regular Glock? (for those of use without belt sander talent )
  15. Looks great! Newbie question: is Duracoat rattle can spray on or do you airbrush it?

    Glock 23

$475 to $500 here in CO, mostly depending on the cosmetic wear from holstering and the like. $450 would be the price for a fast sale.
  17. Wow... nice patterns! Is it all from the stippling or were they lightly sanded after to smooth things out?
  18. Probably worth noting they are out of G17, G19, and G26 mags... also as a closeout they don't qualify for free shipping until you hit the $75 mark. As of this morning they have G18, 20, 21, 22, 27, 30, 32, 33, 36, and 39 mags left.
  19. If I remember correctly Blueguns/Rings Mfg makes a version as well.
  20. Sell it and purchase a new/used 3rd generation gun. I know some people, myself included, prefer the old 2nd gen guns so finding a buyer shouldn't be much of an issue.
  21. Here's a thread on it with a lot of info: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=77580
  22. I have the dual-drum Chicago electric rock tumbler mentioned in the AR15 thread and it works pretty well. The drums have a relatively small capacity and take a bit of time to secure closed after loading, but it's a inexpensive way to get started with water tumbling ($35 on sale for the dual-drum unit). I usually run it for 30 minutes for basic cleaning. The brass comes out clean and relatively shiny but not unltrasonic clean. The primer and primer cup do take a while to dry... I let them sit on a dry towel for a few days minimum before loading.
  23. I realize the OP is over a month old but since the replies were lacking I figured I'd throw in my two cents. I had the RCBS and got rid of it in favor of the large Dillon. IMO it's not bad for a $35 piece of kit but it's missing a lot of the little things the large Dillon has such as the pins that lock it in horizontal (for no overspill loading) and the spring loaded latches to hold the two halves together. The RCBS is all all molded plastic with no metal, just two halves of the screen box that snap together and fit in the clamshell cover. My advice would be to go for the large Dillon, especially if you are used to the smaller Dillon. Overall the RCBS isn't bad... but doesn't have quality feel and easy of use features you get on the Dillon.
