Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have one and I use blue loctite as well, love it. My son runs one and he did not loctite it, no issues in 4 months of hard use. The hanger is great, at least a half dozen guys at the clubs I shoot at have bought one since we did. Also Ben's proshop is great, I took his class in April and they sent one out overnight so my son would have it in time.
  2. Zev has had great customer service in my dealings with them. I returned a trigger for a complete refund including shipping, I have ordered other parts which were always delivered on time and I have called them for advice numerous times. They have always been very helpful.

    Grip Force Adapter

I believe John Amadon answers the rules questions.

    KKM Barrels

Dropped a KKM into my 34 last week, locks up tight, shoots great, runs 100%. Like it a lot.
  5. I had the same issue with Berry's plated in my Gen-4 34, switched bullets and the issue went away. I now get around 3.5" @25 yds most of the time with Xrteme 124 gr HP. For whatever reason my Gen-4 34 did not like that family of bullets, the Extreme has a concave base and thicker plating, it shoots fine. Jacketed shoot about an inch better. Good luck, you can solve it with a little experimentation.
  6. Thanks for the replies... It's funny, I cuss the small primer brass and throw it away when I find it because it screws up my loading, never even considered using it...LOL
  7. I am sick of changing primer sizes in my press, how tough is it to change my single stack over .40? Will the breech face work if I change barrels and extractors, or do I need a whole new top end and ejector? Will a non-ramped barrel run?
  8. I tried the high heat red permatex from the auto parts store, for me it did not hold. The green stuff from Dawson has worked perfectly. For whatever reason I only had this issue on my gen 4 34 with a .315 front sight. Every other gun and sight before this one has always been OK with the high heat red stuff...
  9. Do yourself a favor and order a tube of green loctite from dawson when you order your sight. I tried red and had the front sight come loose more than once, with the green it hasn't budged.
  10. Over 15,000 through my Gen 4 34, no issues other than some light strikes with a Ghost reduced power striker spring. Gun runs great. I also suffered from slide bite, sold a Gen 3 for the Gen 4 with beavertail, made a big difference, no issues at all.
