  1. 50 Priming Assembly Adjustment Notes:<br style="color: rgb(28, 40, 55); font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; background-color: rgb(250, 251, 252); "> Thoroughly polish frame, wherever priming slide touches it, with green Scotch Brite. (Approx. every 3000 rounds) Wipe off Primer Slide with solvent or alcohol. Leave it all dry. At rest primer slide adjustment: Set so that one primer, dropped down the tube, goes all the way into the Primer Seating Cup, 10 times in a row. Angle of Primer Slide Operating Rod (13869) - Release rod from rollers and swivel it 180º so it's pointing straight up - it should be parallel with the Primer Housing Shield, or maybe outward "a little"; it should not be "inward" at all. Be sure both screws (14530) that tighten Roller Bracket Shell Platform (14280) from bottom (to the Shellplate Platform) are tight! Make sure Priming Seating Punch Assembly is fully bottomed out before tightening screw (13996): Measured from bottom of Primer Slide (13920) to top of seated Primer Seating Cup (13284/5), dimension should be between 2.125 - 2.220 inches. Be sure Priming Operating Rod Bracket (13887) is adjusted so it's within a few thousands of an inch from the top of frame/Toplhead. Be sure the plastic tips of all your Primer Pickup Tubes and the plastic tip on the bottom of the Priming Magazine are seated fully against the tubes. Grease the short end of the op-rod where it inserts into the bracket clamped around the primer shield. update after finally calling dillion and we took the whole primer system apart he talked to me through whole thing again making some adjustments along way most important one seems to be this rod guess they need to bend them some more at factory any way twice now been able load 250 rounds in one setting that is much better than 20 to 50 rounds top . thanks all : 550 Priming Assembly Adjustment Notes: Thoroughly polish frame, wherever priming slide touches it, with green Scotch Brite. 2. OK got one question OK maybe two , have you called dillion let them trouble shoot it with you bet , they stop high primers, if some work and some dont has to be an adjustment something not adjusted right , mine was the base plate too loose , but that was on RL550B . the other as Torogi said : Now, on those high primers, did you try and re-seat them? When I had that happen I just put it back on station 2 and push the lever. Feel if there is any resistance. Hope this helps. hey if you hate reloading want to sell your 650 cheap sorry couldn't resist .
  3. since this has changed somewhat and Dillion replied , I want to say , I have had nothing but excellent from Dillion , , two parts been replaced one was missing and other I bent the rod too much they sent me replacement right out , they even called and made sure everything was OK best customer service i had on anything in many years .

OKcurrently loading 40 cal Pistol , what is needed to switch to rifle 5.56 its a Dillon RL 550B this is what I am thinking so far: 550 Deluxe Quick-Change Kit Dillon Rifle Dies 550 Caliber Conversion Kit Case Gage I want to initially after set up be able to change it back to pistol easy so asking for help and recommendations thanks
  6. anyone what size I need thanks
  7. well I found locally one Pound WSF for $20 so ended up with that for now see if it improves over WST . WST did fine winter but don't seem to like the heat .
  8. thanks didn't want to break anything , out with WST in With WSF
  9. How to remove the fail safe rod so I do a complete powder dump and change , rod wont go high enough to move out of the little white bushing think they call it a 18086 Shoulder Washer thanks i beginning to feel stupid all i want to do is dump the powder and change powder.
  10. Can anyone recommend a few powders that meter well in a dillon. I want to load 180 Gr FMJ ammo and really don't know which powder. bear in mind i live in high temp and high humility , want to be able to measure and work good in dillion 550b . would like to be clean burning prefered. some looking at , WSF WST titegroup 700X W231 please list reson and why you might like any of these thanks
  11. OK did the chronograph thing today hears what i got Powder : Winchester WST 40 cal S&W 1.125" 4.0gr wst 180gr power bond bullets FMJ average speed was 746 littler slower than i expected tempurature 92 degreesz with high humidity Should i go up or leave it or change diffrent powder , today was benched its Glock 23 just wondering seems most manufactures speed is around 900-950 understand WST is slower velocity powder but fast clean burner , I will say after about 2 Pounds of WST and about 4000 rounds I had no miss feeds or miss fires , i am trying so figure out why i cant hit anything smaller than 8 inches at 20 yards seems i am not alone two other who can drill tacks at 20 yrs couldn't do with mine . we did try ten rounds out of his clock believe 35 and he had tighter groups but still worse with my ammo . so guess i am wondering with everyone talking about it temperature problems or sensitivity living hear in south wear the temps get 100 with about same humility makes me wonder. so basically looking for a good clean powder and will measure good in dillion 550B and be accurate loads for 180 grain bullet with a COL 1.125". guess that about raps it up . thanks for replying .
  12. so any other good recommendations for good clean powders and will measure good in dillion 550b since noon has the VV N320. good for hot weather .
  13. today was benched its Glock 23 just wondering seems most manufactures speed is around 900-950 understand WST is slower velocity powder but fast clean burner , I will say after about 2 Pounds of WST and about 4000 rounds I had no miss feeds or miss fires , i am trying so figure out why i cant hit anything smaller than 8 inches at 20 yards seems i am not alone two other who can drill tacks at 20 yrs couldn't do with mine . we did try ten rounds out of his clock believe 35 and he had tighter groups but still worse with my ammo . so guess i am wondering with everyone talking about it temperature problems or sensitivity living hear in south wear the temps get 100 with about same humility makes me wonder. so basically looking for a good clean powder and will measure good in dillion 550B and be accurate loads for 180 grain bullet with a COL 1.125". guess that about raps it up . thanks for replying .
