  1. It can be a challenge but don't fall into the trap of 'we need a short stage, lets shoot el prez'. They don't all have to have options either to be interesting or challenging and movement can be limited to a few steps: Strong hand weak hand; Use mini targets or a mixture of mini and full size; All steel stage or some little steel behind big steel or some near and some far; No shoots behind steel; Creative variations on classifiers (add reloads, 1or 3 shots per target instead of 2, mini targets etc.); Moving targets - options on engagement order of targets, activate and then need to move to engage the mover or another target; A target or 2 that can seen from multiple positions with only a step or 2 - can I get a quicker or better shot if I move? Options such as do I take 2 steps back and engage all the targets or run/move forward half a dozen steps and have easier/harder shots from 1 or multiple positions or shooting on the move? Unloaded start/table starts/mags and gun retrieved from different spots a couple of steps away e.g. start seated at a table loaded or unloaded, mags on the table or the belt. Targets might only be seen if you stand up you might see more of the target if you do stand. Maybe only see part of the targets from above the table with the majority clearly visible under the table. Put a steel in with or without a mover, maybe a mandatory reload before engaging the mover. What if the steel could only be seen from above the table? What about if it could be and seen from under neath or to the side of the table as well?
  2. I attended an outlaw IPSC match last year where 2/3 size classic targets and steel were used exclusively. Scoring zones were ignored and any scoring hit was scored as an A. It was a fun match, would shoot it again.
  3. The 2 part descriptions are: MAGAZINE SPRING FOR TAC SPORT/IPSC 10 RD ONLYCOMPATIBLE WITH 9MM AND .40 S&W MAGAZINES and MAGAZINE SPRING FOR TAC SPORT HI CAP ONLY
  4. Sounds like the same magazines I have. CZ list a mag spring for hi caps only and another for 10 round mags only.
  5. I posted this in the springs sub forum but had no luck: Looking for replacement springs for CZ 75 tactical sport 10 round magazines. CZ, CZ USA, CZ Custom, Wolff and Grams either don't have any or haven't responded. Anyone know where I can get some?
  6. What's involved? Do you just cut them to the same length?

An A for effort and initiative, it looks good. There is a Czechmate thumb rest already on the market but I personally think I would prefer it set further forward like in your design. https://cpwsa.com/products/cz-czechmate-and-ts-thumb-rest
  9. I've read books by everyone you have named and still not a GM lol. They are great but I would take a class from a GM if I could.
  10. Shooting on the move commences around 1.40
  11. Did you follow their advice? You could always go back and ask for further advice or get a second opinion.
  12. It makes sense if you think about the actions involved. While your strong hand moves backwards about 8 inches and rotates your weak hand needs to travel about 24 inches to your belt to retrieve the mag and another 24 inches back, so your weak hand needs to move about 6 times the distance your strong hand moves.
  13. Go and see an Optomertrist and get your eyes checked. Also get sunglasses if you do not use them already.
  14. Has anyone that only uses new or once fired brass ever had a problem with their brass?
  15. Brian's book has some good information on getting this right. Try dry firing the draw in reverse - start with the gun on target and reholster.
  16. This... Off topic but I shoot IPSC outside of the USA and the only way we can get a GM grading is to shoot a 95%+ at a national championship. Re-grading in general is primarily based on performance at level 3 and above matches subject to certain criteria being met.
  17. Not to be a jerk or anything but those podcasts are not easy to listen to. It seems like great information but I'm not sure it's worth enduring the chopped up Van Halen songs. And to use a terrible Journey song to convey a message? Brutal. I listen to them in the car and fast forward through the songs. Better than listening to the crap on the radio and there is lot of really good information not to mention it is free. Also just got his third book, still reading it but it is really good so far.
  18. Placement of the mags on the table - the right way up, correct angle, spaced apart - so you can pick them up quickly and positively. Watch what you doing when you pick the mags up and are inserting them in the mag pouches. If you need 2 mags in your pouches pick them both up and insert at the same time so you eyes stay with your task. It may pay to bring both mags to your pouches but insert one at a time so you can really watch what you are doing. Having a magnet is the key though. If I need 2 on my belt I place 2 on the table side by side with what will be the top one overlapping the bottom one by a couple of inches so I can grab it from the magnet when I need it like I normally would from a mag pouch. If I need an extra mag and I don't need to pick up the gun immediately I.e. gun on another table, I will pick up the extra mag using my strong hand at the same time as the other 2, start moving immediately and then swap it to the weak hand ready for loading one the other 2 are on the belt. If I can I place it and pick it up upside down so that when I swap from strong to weak hand my index finger is along the front of the mag.
  19. I think this is hilarious, he talks about and unloaded start for 9 and a half minutes and never actually performs one. It must just be me but watching someone do a fast table start doesn't help me as much as watching someone explain the tips and tricks which I can put into practise to improve my table start skills.
  20. Sordin Supreme with gel cups. Expensive but good and reliable, been using them regularly for about 8 years.
  21. I like this guys videos, this is a good one on table starts:
  22. Try taking the grips off and giving everything a good clean inside the magazine well. Also look for wear or damage to the mag release and spring.
  23. Very nice, I like the foot work.
