  1. Do the rounds go off when you try them a second time? If the primers are high the first strike can be sufficient to seat them fully and then they fire the next time. Individually check a batch of test rounds to make sure the primers are fully seated and chamber check them before firing them. Also have someone else try your gun to see if it is your grip.
  2. Which edge needs to be chamfered?
  3. Unfortunately I have added to that collection since that photo was taken - I have another one that is cracked and bent. It was hard to get out of the slide because it was bent and when I had a close look it is cracked almost right the way round. I like to have 3 - practice, match and spare. I also have 4 slide stop pins but I don’t like to use them because they don’t leave the slide back when the mag is empty.
  4. I got my new style barrel about 2 years ago and it is different to yours so they may be on their 3rd version.
  5. They crack and bend. This slide stop has a crack almost right the way around the circumference. It was moderately difficult to remove from the slide due to the bend.
  6. Does anyone know if polarised glasses will work with red dots sights, specifically C-More?
  7. Include some group shooting in each of your live fire sessions, even if it is just a magazine at the beginning of the session. You our can also do some accuracy work in your dry fire as well e.g. dry firing at a patch, light switch.
  8. Steve Anderson covered this in a podcast a while back; analyse; strategise; memorise; visualise; and surrender to your eyes
  9. The thumbrest should have come with the gun. I would contact dealer you got it off and failing that CZ. I ordered a new mount and racker from Robin Šebo via email a couple of weeks ago.
  10. Buy a new pin if you don't want to stake it and it keeps coming out. A new one should be a slightly tighter fit and should fix the problem.
  11. 2.2.1.5 If a COF has a passageway visibly delineated by fault lines and/or a clearly demarcated shooting area, any competitor who takes a shortcut by stepping on the ground outside the passageway and/or shooting area will incur one procedural penalty for each shot fired after beginning the shortcut. 10.2.1 A competitor who fires shots while any part of their body is touching the ground or any object beyond a Fault Line will receive 1 procedural penalty for each occurrence. No penalty is assessed if a competitor does not fire any shots while faulting except when Rule 2.2.1.5 applies. 10.2.1.1 However, if the competitor has gained a significant advantage on any target(s) while faulting, he may instead be assessed 1 procedural penalty for each shot fired at the subject target(s) while faulting.
  12. That fault line was pointless as most shooters would have been able to step or jump over it. A wall would have been a much better option.
  13. The unintentional mag drop was probably caused downward pressure on the pistol when it was picked up. If the pistol was resting on the mag release, a small amount of downward pressure can be enough to activate it. The magazine still stays in the pistol when you pick it up but the first shot and slide movement causes the mag to drop out of the mag well.
  14. I also like to have at least 1 more mag on my belt than I plan to use.
  15. Get a gun that is reliable and drop test all your ammo. Ideally I would have the racker on the right side but I only use it to load and unload and the very rare unloaded start. My thumb rest props the gun nicely for table starts.
  16. MSA Sordin with gel cups. Still going strong after 8 years. The gel cups eventually split and need replacement but no real complaints overall.
  17. Shouldn't be if it is the factory spring. Also check your crimp.
  18. Let us know if these become available
  19. Given it is a new gun tolerances may be tight, how many rounds since you cleaned it properly? Hollow points sometimes can be a source of feeding problems, try another bullet type if you are using them. Has your ammo been drop tested? My CZ prefers a shorter OAL, what OAL are you running?
  20. Do you have any pictures of it failing to go into battery?
  21. For those that are completing matches quickly I am curious to know your squad sizes, if you have RO's that move with the squad and if brass is collected while the stage is reset between shooters.
  22. I am restricted to 10 round mags and frequently plan 8, 9 or 10 shots before reloading. As part of my stage planning I memorise how many spare rounds I have on an array. Before long it becomes part of your subconscious and I don't need to think about it while running the stage, it just pops into my head if I make a back up.
  23. Extra weight can be a killer on your knees. I have a friend who knees are buggered from kick boxing and going up and down ladders and he has found knee wraps help.
  24. Does this happen in dry fire as well?
  25. For a table start or similar, at the 'are you ready' signal I move my eyes from the target to the gun and mags.
