  1. I'm another one, I was the only guy shooting a 226 (Bruce Gray Gun) for a few years in IDPA and now I use an X5 Competition in 3 gun and I have never seen another one at a match
  2. LOL, I had to steal that one and put it on Facebook.
  3. Use it, I ran a Sig 556 for 2 years in 3 gun before switching to an AR. If you are just shooting local matches it should serve you just fine if you put some good optics on it. I used a Tac30 and I worked well for me.
  4. Mahoneys In Johnson City has the Hornady 55 grain for $120.00 out the door. I just picked up another 2000 so I should be good for the year.
  5. I use the Lee factory crimp fie on my 650. adjusted it per the instructions and it has works perfect.
  6. I have been using 26.9 grains of CFE with Everglades Ammo 55 grain bullets and Wolf Magnum SRP with good luck. Shooting them in a S&W VTAC II and Colt 14.5 inch M4 with good luck. Tried P-mags, D&H and Colt factory mag's on both and the bolt stays open when empty. I am not certain how a bullet profile could effect that .
  7. I am using a VTAC II with a 1 in 8 twist barrel and found that 26.9 grains of CFE behind a 55 grain bullet work great out to 300 yards. I have not tried it past that.
  8. I have loaded about 600 rounds on a 650 press using Wolf Magnum Small rifle primers with good results.
  9. I used mine for the 1st time at a 3 gun event, I love the feel and of the gun but I dropped a mag on the 1st stage. Anyone have a standard mag release they would part with?
  10. I have loaded a lot of 115 and 124 grains and for use in a P226 and X-5 and have found the 124 grain to work best from an accuracy and recoil standpoint.
  11. Very nice, I much prefer the older folded steel slide over the new stainless ones. They just seem to point better.
  12. I decided to keep the M1, he is having some problems with low brass/ low recoil stuff and the M1 keeps running like a champ.
  13. I have been looking at one so please post how you like it when it comes on.

What he said. you can swap the 40 & .357 but not the 9mm.
  16. Looks great, I bet it will run with the best of them.
  17. I don't know about current pricing but I purchased on the these for under $1400 shipped last year http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_802551_-1_757785_757784_757784_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y All I did was add a Titan comp and it has been very competative.

Welcome to the group, Sig's are one of my favorites.
  19. Being 2 years old may bethe issue. I am at the end of an 8lb jug og Clays and the rounds I shoot know are much dirtier than the same load 2 years ago.
  20. +1 The 650 with the powder check has saved me more than once when a shell hangs up on station one.
  21. I have VTAC's on 2 of my long guns. I use the metal hooks on my 556 and the quick release pins on the VTAC II. Both options work well it so would just depend on what your rifle was set up for.
  22. I had a chance to shoot the Versa Max and it has less recoil than my M1. The M1 has never let me down and maybe I am just getting board with it, my friend did offer to trade. Thoughts
  23. I am new to loading 223 but I have found no difference in accuracy using mixed brass. So far I have loaded a few hundred with CFE and they all group about the same from a VTAC II or Sig 556.
  24. Over the holidays I loaded 1000 PD 124 grain and used WSF. Very accurate and the WSF metered well in the 650.
