Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Is there a link for the article, or is a back-issue purchase required?
  2. Results of the Fall '06 Ar-15, oops, Assault Rifle Match: http://www.machinegunshoot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=227 http://www.machinegunshoot.com/pdf%20files...6%20Assault.pdf Some good .308 scores.

  4. Zak, Thanks for the pics and description. Looks like a fun and challenging time. In post #2, the pic of the heated barrel: Does the muzzle brake help much? Any noticeable noise on your end? Have you shot similiar rifles with and without brake, and was there any major difference? With the muzzles down in the rack, and if bolts are kept open, it's easier to verify an empty chamber. And, any debris that may find it's way in the barrel will go away from the action. At the range while doing a quick barrel clean, you can hose the muzzle down barrel and let it soak a bit while doing other things without the solvent making it's way into the action and/or bedding.
  5. Zak, What type/manf. forearm are you using?
  6. Thanks for the replies. Been helpful. Any bullet preferences for .308/7.62x51?
  7. Yes. Will try that search feature some more. Safe to assume they're not lobbing 20+ year old surplus.
  8. In the 'Zoom Zoom' topic ( http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23570), what kind of ammo does the better shooters use, especially for the longer range targets? New or reman, i.e. Black Hills? FMJ/mil-type, match, SP, or palstic tipped bullet? If you tell me, will you have to kill me? Aware that it's the man not the gun, and practice, etc., etc., etc.
  9. I assume HM as with irons?
