I had a similar issue with my Limited Pro and the Henning firing pin. Firing pin would get stuck in the breech face, sometime only for a moment. The problem was when the pin would stick forward, the firing pin block would sometimes shift and get stuck as you describe. Happened in dry fire when the pin moved too far forward, there was no round to limit its forward motion and the firing pin spring was not strong enough to limit is movement by itself.
Since this was just after I got a trigger job (brand new parts), I called the gunsmith asked what was up. He suggested 2 options, could use a snap cap for all dry fire, this effectively limits the forward movement and prevents the issue. Other option was swap to the stock firing pin/spring for dry fire and only use the henning pin for matches and live fire practice. Both had some pain in the ass factor.
So in the end I swapped to a Xtreme firing pin with the wolf firing pin spring. Works for dry fire and has been setting off federal primers.
