I'm new to M&P. I went to Wall Mart for the cheapest ammo they sold. They had a run of 100 round packs of Federl 180s (40 cal.) for $25.99. I bought 500 rounds. As a previous poster suggested, switching from the Glock trigger and its positive resest was an adjustment for me. However, after a couple of range sessions, I began to feel more comfortable with the trigger. My accuracy is improving, which in my case, tells me that it is the shooter that needs some tweeking, not the ammo or the firearm.
I have never shot tula ammo, however, I have always found that the Federal 180gr.FMJ or the Winchest White Box 165gr. ammo shot better than my abilities in every 40 caliber I've owned. That ammo is relatively inexpensive, and give me a good source of brass for reloading.
Over the years, I've made it a practice to hold judgement on a handgun until after 1000 rounds. A real problem will usually show up before the 1000 round mark. "Issues" are usually worked out by ammo change, load developement, or technique adjustments before that mark.
