Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Good luck. I had the same problem with a S&W M&P 9mm that would only do it during a major match, never in practice. Mags were numbered and never with same mag. Tried different bullets loaded to different lengths. Switched to CZ SP01 and never had problem again. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I have been using www.uberscoremaster.com to score a weekly match since late February and it is an outstanding program designed specifically for IDPA. I highly recommend it. --Lin A03606 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Jim, The barrels that obscured the swinger except when it came out on the right were not in the same location when the SOs shot the stage on Friday. Apparently some of the Friday shooters had an available head shot to the left of the barrels when the swinger was at that end of it's movement and some shot it that way. On Saturday that option was not available as the barrels were in a different location. This was not noticed until after lunch on Saturday, too late to be corrected. --Lin Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Steve, Does this mean that if you are squatting and someone shoots you with a 104.9 PF SSR round, it won't knock you down? --Lin
  5. Yup, and the problem I had was they scored the extra head shot down zero. That's perfectly fine. An inadvertent body shot that hits the head is still a body shot. The rules are clear. The head is part of the body unless you're trying to circumvent the CoF in this case "Mozambique" to gain a competitive advantage. +1
  6. Actually, if you do have a round come out when you rack the slide then you would need to pick up the dropped magazine, NOT the ejected live round, before firing your next shot. Otherwise you will have performed a speed-reload which is not IDPA-legal and would earn you a 3-second PE. --Lin
  7. Just did a search of both the Sprinco and TopGlock websites and didn't see anything listed for a G30. Which one do you use? Thanks, --Lin
  8. Has anyone had any luck changing the recoil spring on a Glock 30 to a lighter weight spring? I tried a search and didn't find anything about this. I am trying to run a minor pf load and my G-30 will not cycle the slide with this load, where it runs fine in my M&P .45. Specifically, how do you change the springs with the set-up Glock uses? TIA. --Lin
  9. This thread is from the 2007 Postal Match. However, the results of the 2009 Postal Match will be posted sometime around the middle of November, 2009. http://www.idpapostalmatch.com/FAQ.html
  10. You could always try a magnet, it will be attracted to steel but not brass.
  11. Yes, I agree. Thank you all very much!
  12. At a recent match one of the COFs had the shooter moving for all shots fired. This included shooting thru a window at a target but if the shooter stopped and used cover at the side of the window that shooter received a PE. Also, the shooter was required to leave the cover of a wall to engage targets on the move. The rule book requires cover to be used if it is available. The question is: can a shooter be given a PE for using cover instead of moving, under the rules? No, I wasn't the shooter. This was the first major I can remember that I did not get a PE, hit a NT or get a FTN! --Lin
  13. I do my best to get our match results posted within 2 days. Very rarely takes more than that. --Lin
