    SP-01 problem

Got my shooter back today and all is right with the world again. Custom shop didn't say what the problem was or how they fixed it but the safety on the right side of the gun seems to have been replaced - this was the part that was loosening up with time. Whatever they did fixed the problem because now I have a nice, smooth DA again. Looks like there might have been some sear block work done also, I don't know. Maybe Stuart will weigh in on it - unless it's a trade secret or something. Bottom line; if you want it fixed, they can do it. Alma- the problem with mine also started with the slow trigger pull too if that helps..........or hurts.
  2. I run the MG 147s loaded with 3.6 gns of VV n320. I load a little longer than some @ 1.140 and I could load even longer if I wanted in my Shadow custom. This is a good load for me with a PF of around 133. It should be noted though that I live at 5000 ft so those numbers might yield differently for other locations. This is also why I like the PF above 130 in case I travel to a non-local match.

    CCI Primers?

No issues at all with mine and I've ONLY used CCI primers.

    SP-01 problem

"Riding the safety" worked for me too for a little while, but eventually that didn't do any good either. I found that I had to really focus on putting a lot of side pressure on the safety for a work around. Either way, better to just get it fixed and not adjust to the problem. Hope your parts fix the problem!
  5. I have the H. Leights Impact Pro and they work great for me. Nice and low profile. Also VERY affordable (around $50) so you can see if you like the electronic muffs without making too much of a commitment. I pretty much only shoot outdoors so I couldn't say how they work at an inside range but for me they're just fine.

    SP-01 problem

Mine is at the custom shop with the gurus as we speak for the same problem. With mine, it seemed like the safety was a little loose and allowing the sear block to float a bit. I could squeeze the safety together and it worked flawlessly, but seemed to loosen up after a couple of hammer drops and act up again. I hope the experts at the custom shop will explain what they find to me. It sure makes that first shot in a stage hectic, I know that!
  7. Got the CR Versa Pouches and they work great for the Shadow mags, but no good for TS mags. I can put the Glock insert in the pouch and they fit, but pretty loose and I'm worried about leaving a trail of mags while moving through a stage. Any tips or tricks?
  8. Pretty sure it is 15#. I am running an 11# in my TS with no probs so far. Very smooth.
  9. Thanks for the advice, folks. Think I'll just switch the holsters out if I want to shoot different DIVISIONS at a match. Sorry for the improper terminology, Grumpy. How ever did you choose your name?
  10. Thanks. I'm actually kinda looking at the g10s from the hogue site. Anybody try those yet?
  11. Just got the Shadow custom and couldn't be happier with the quality of the the gun. It comes the thin alum. Grips and they're just a little too thin for my bear paws. Been looking at a couple of possible replacements at the custom shop but wanted to see if anybody had any advice before just ordering and hoping. Any suggestions?
  12. Got the TS for my "Limited" class gun and just picked up a Shadow custom that I plan to use for Production. I have the BT holster for the TS but none for Shadow. My thoughts are that I should get the Tek lok versions for both so I can use same belt and just switch out holsters for matches. Is this the thing to do or do I need to buy a whole new setup if I want to shoot both classes? Thanks in advance for any advice.
  13. New to the forums and to the competitive shooting arena. I'm just getting everything together and hopefully will start shooting in matches soon! I work underground in a gold mine in Northern Nevada and live in a little town called Elko - some of you might have gotten gas there. Anyway, this seems to be the place to get all the info on many topics I'm interested in so here I am. Thanks for having me! guard donkey
  14. Got the flat trigger from cz custom to replace stock trigger on my TS - I know, the stock trigger is great, but I'm looking for a shorter, straighter pull. Looks pretty simple to change out, but I can't find anything on the web (step by step) on how to do it. Anyone have any experience with this project? Any pitfalls I should be aware of before I just start taking it apart?
