Glad to see all the support for the 17. I have been trying to decide between the 17 and 34 for my next purchase. I decided on the 17 because of it's versatility, reliability, and functionality.

I carry my PT 111 in a Fobus paddle holster. I like it. Thanks for the advice. I got a great deal on a Fobus at a local chain store. It works great! I was a little put off by paddle holsters because of a leather model that I used with an old Colt Lawman MK III. It never worked well. The Fobus is a completely different animal. It works great! Very functional!!!

Thanks for the info! I'm in the process of learning as much as I can about the sport? I had read that it was tough to knock down metal targets with anything less than full choke. I'll take your advice and shoot the 26" as is while I shop for a deal on a deer barrel for the 3".

I'm currently 6' @ 250 at 51 years old. Two years ago I weighed 375lbs. I'd still like to get under 200. It takes complete focus on diet and exercise and a willingness to alter your program when things become stale. Keep a journal of your food intake and training. List everything and be honest! Eat 5-6 times per day, but eat small meals. Don't feed your body with empty calories! Eat fresh whenever possible. If you maintain focus, you will achieve your goals. Good luck!!

I've got two 1100's that I'm setting up for 3 gun. One is a 12 ga 26" barrel w/ IC choke. The other is a 3" mag. I'm looking for a 21-24" barrel rem choke chambered in 2 3/4 that I can put a full choke on. If I keep the 26" bbl ,how much should I expect to pay to have it threaded for a rem choke? Also, at 26" should i put a full choke in it too? Thanks,

I'm just getting into competitive shooting and am looking for a kadex type holster for my current 9mm handgun. I will be buying a glock 17 or 34 after I finish my AR 15 build, but I need something to work with now. I wanted a Blade Tec DOH, but I'm not sure it will fit my MP. Can anyone help with info? I just stumbled across your board while searching for information on combat shooting. I'm not a competitive shooter, although I am intrested in learning more about the sport. Most of my shooting has been done on property located more than an hour from my residence, which limits shooting to once per week. I'm looking for a local range where I can shoot more often.
