  1. Outerlimits does lateral epicondylitis generally hurt more, or have a spike of pain, when lifting something? Sorry for the thread jack. I also have been suffering from this same annoyance and have been wondering what it is. It's not so bad its debilitating but man is it an annoyance. Especially when drinking big frosty beers!
  2. Grip. Checked today. I guess the fact that it only locks back once in a while means I need to practice more because it seems that 1 out of 10-12 mags my grip changes. What I really want to know is if there is a little heaver spring for the mag release or if I am going to have to change my grip...or go back to XD's. Which I really don't want to do. Like the M&P grip and trigger soooo much more. Thanks guys.
  3. Now that you mention it, the slide did lock back nearly everytime shot from the bags and when my brother shot it. Thanks for the advice. New to S&W, just switched from the xd's. The Pro shoots, groups, and points well for me, so I am hoping this isn't a big deal. Thanks again.
  4. Just got a M&P Pro 9mm and really like the gun but the slide only locks back on an empty mag once in about 10-12 mags. I have tried three different mags (all I have) and they all do it. Any one else have this problem? If so, any thing easy or is it on its way back to S&W?
  5. Glad I am not the only one that has this issue. Great thread thanks for the info.
  6. Thanks for the info. I shot a stock XD9 5" Sunday. My perferred handgun is 1911 that is why I was asking about some of the rules. I did get some of my questions answered yesterday by reading through the rules. Riveting let me tell you. LOL. I feel like I did alright using the XD9 especially only having shot about 150 rounds through the gun prior to the shoot. Finished 11 out of 61. So I might just stay with the production class and have fun with it until I learn more and get good enough that better equipment will actually make a difference. Only changes I plan on making is better sights and maybe a better trigger, once I wade through all the opions on xd triggers.
  7. Hi all, Not new to shooting but to this site. Have been shooting and hunting for years but I just started shooting "competevely". I say it like that because I shot at an actual shoot at an area gun club's zombie shoot yesterday. What a blast!!! I am hooked like a crack head One quick question, what is the benefit of shooting major factor vs. minor? Several of the members invited me to come shoot an actual USPSA shoot this comming weekend so I am really trying to get info and I have noticed that most people choose to shoot major vs. minor when given the choice. Why? As I see it there is a little larger scoring areas for major....is this true?
