The powder funnel / flare is a good suggestion. You need very minimal flare/bell for the FMJ's. Only enough that the bullet will just balance on the case. Any more is unnecessary and can/will affect case tension.

If the projectiles are within dia. spec (it would be extremely rare that they wouldn't be), then the lack of case neck tension is simply due to loading practices. I always suggest a Lee or EGW U-die, and a touch of One Shot. I'm not a fan of the FCD. Using a standard crimp die, apply enough crimp that it leaves a LIGHTLY visible ring around a pulled bullet. If you don't see a light ring, apply a touch more. If you can easily feel the ring with your fingernail, apply a little less. Attempting to measure the crimp isn't necessary.

I have measured several of them (I have 30ish Prodigy mags in my office), and this is not my experience. The material thickness is on par with other 2011 mags. I've owned every type and gen of 2011 mag available in the last 15 years or so (barring Atlas), and by my evaluation, there's no obvious reason that the Dura/Springfield tubes would be less durable than their counterparts. The bodies and lips on my samples are pretty darn uniform. Plenty uniform to operate reliably. I haven't "tuned" a 2011 tube of any caliber since I retired all of my STI and SV first gen tubes some years ago. In my experience, with todays offerings, it's just not necessary (so far I'm including the Duramags in that statement).

Well. Not exactly. The most popular SKU's in the Ranger and Ranger Bonded LE lineup are: RA9T : 145 PF RA9124TP : 146 PF RA9BA: 146 PF RA9B: 146 PF RA9B1: 147 PF. RA9TA is by far the "hottest" 9mm round available in the Win LE lineup. It's a 127gr +P+ and comes in at 158 PF. It's not super popular, and doesn't fly off the shelves. It's been said plenty, but no one (at a professional level) is concerned with "energy/stopping power" as it pertains to defensive handgun ammunition. They are concerned with how a round performs against FBI protocol in calibrated ballistic gelatin. A little simplified, but adequate penetration, reliable upset, and barrier performance are pretty much the sole variables by which defensive handgun ammunition is evaluated. With most defensive handgun rounds, the terminal difference in 140 PF and 160 PF is negligible, given that both rounds are operating within the optimal velocity window of the projectile, and achieve adequate penetration.

Can you elaborate on why you think the tubes fall short? (Considering only the tubes because everything else is consumable and replaceable)

So can anyone confirm a magwell that will work on the Prodigy grip? I've heard the Dawson Gen2 Stacatto "tactical advantage" magwell... And I've heard the regular Dawson "tactical advantage" magwell... Which seems conflicting. I've got a box full of various 2011 magwells, and a couple are close, I could probably make them work with some modification, but they are all big competition magwells. I'm looking for a smaller "tactical" magwell that will require the least amount of modification.

I didn't attack you personally either. My statement (even if a bit crass) was a general evaluation of anyone that still denies the existence of some sub-optimal OE chambers in the 320 platform. I don't know anything about the case failure you've shown, and it's origin or cause couldn't be less relevant. Web ruptures, case head separations, etc can and do happen in all platforms with all ammunition choices. We all know that. However, an undeniable spike in their prevalence within one model of handgun is cause for analysis. But, we are rehashing old discussion at this point... and it's probably not relevant to the OP. The ability (or inability) of a gun to AD is probably a much more worthwhile discussion anyway.

If you don't think there was (maybe still is) a problem with the amount of chamber support on some 320 barrels, you either don't have a broad enough view of the situation, or your head is in the sand. The commonality and similarity of the web failures seen in the 320 platform just isn't prevalent across other popular makes. Regardless of the ammunition used. It doesn't take a lot of knowledge to look at some of the barrels pictured below and notice a very surprising lack of case support. The 320 Bar-Sto barrel pictured below is how OE 320 barrels should support the round.

Yes, make sure the "blue tip" is orientated correctly. On a SDB, if the primers "all fall out on the floor", then the primer cutoff isn't working. It is the small white delrin pin behind the piece of spring steel. Ensure that it is in-tact, and moving freely, and that the spring is applying pressure.

You'll have to be more specific. The SDB priming system is fairly simple, and easy to trouble shoot, but detailed explanation of the failures is necessary.

Using lube is the route to go on all brass, all the time.

Hard to believe that will hold up with anything close to major PF. The frame will wobble like jello on high speed footage.

Make sure there's no blasting media trapped anywhere, add a touch of oil, and forget about it. Go shoot.

What a dumpster fire. Here's a hot take.... Stop putting so much thought into "what people want", what people think is "fun", what the current trendy stuff is, blah, blah. Build concise rules and divisions around what makes competitive sense. A place to shoot high capacity Major, a place to shoot Low capacity Major. A place to shoot a dot with Major scoring, a dot with Minor scoring, etc.. etc.. Everything else is minutia, and flat out doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. If an organization continually tries to chase what they think people "want", or what might be popular, they just end up chasing their tails, and ultimately it's a recipe for failure IMO. At some point, once the competitive product is established, maybe it should be a little less "What do the members want", and a little more "How do we find members that want what we provide".

Stop worrying about what people online may see in a video, and base any and all evaluation and changes on what YOU see through the sight. No one here can give you any truly beneficial guidance from watching that video.

Does Stacucoo make an XL in .40? If not, I'd highly recommend not buying one for Limited. Get a Honcho. They are FANTASTIC in Limited configuration, and you can shoot other divisions down the road if you feel the urge.
