The dot isn't slowing you down. Your lack of experience with the dot is slowing you down. Takes time.

*Some* Were collapsing somewhat in the bottom compartment, making zippers on the lower compartment hard to open. Even still, those that had the issue had it resolved by CED with a new bag. RePete evidently didn't read the whole thread. It's the best range bag out there in my opinion, and I have literally tried all the major offerings out there. My Shooters Connection backpack was totally unsupported and tending to collapse in on itself (not the mild compression of the DAA bag) and the quality of construction is FAR better in the DAA backpack. The lower pocket in the SC backpack isn't truly hard-sided, so the weight of the rest of your gear crushes whatever you have in the lower pocket. Spend the money and buy once, cry once. The DAA Rangepack is where it's at for sure.
I didn't. And I know several others that didn't. We were told to pound sand by CED. The DAA pack is garbage in my opinion. It's really surprising since I consider everything else made by DAA to be top shelf.

Plated bullets suck. A lot of them will be egg shaped in any given box. I have never been able to get them to group no matter what I did.

I agree with price of cross slot an then price of riser. I been lucky to look through all the cmore an ddp. The triangle in my opinion would be great for short AR work
They are mounts on Ebay for less than $20 I have been told.

So now that these have been out for a little bit what's the experience? I'm looking at picking one up, but the only person I spoke to that has one warned me that he found the need to process brass and swage it before being able to run this reliably. I currently run my range pick up 9mm thru a tumbler and then lube and load without much further issue. If going to the mark7 added a significant amount of brass prep I think it would be a deal breaker. Any word on this out there? Any personal experience heads up would be appreciated
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ProI have one an it works great. It isn't necessary to pre process brass with the Mk7 anymore than it is if you are pulling the handle.

The full size C-more is arguably the hardiest red dot,
I would argue that it is one of the weakest.

Just found this website. Looks like a shooters version of the Onion or Duffleblog. Some of this stuff has my side hurting. Be careful there is some not so nice language on some of these.

Scott, I assume these are all 38s right?
That would be correct.

I agree with you.
Do you think a regular Joe, like my self, would benefit? I don't mind telling you I like the idea of a shorter, but heavier, gun. A slight loss in muzzle velocity, but that is easily remedied.
Also, the smaller C-More. Better optics?
I think the only people who don't benefit from a shorter gun are those sensitive to blast. And even then, if you stick with it for a few hundred rounds most people don't notice it anymore. The akai tungsten sleeved guns are just as soft shooting as a full size with the benefit of faster transitions.
I am a fan of the smaller optics, the Deltapoint Pro of the RTS 2, but that is highly subjective. -

Maybe a better perspective is: More of the rank and file in Open division prefer a longer pistol because they are somewhat easier to control.
You statement is likely true. But the statement I quoted "There is a reason all of your top shooters are shooting long pistols." is not even close to accurate.
The trend at the top is short, heavy guns. There are exceptions but the majority are going that way. A short gun with a heavy metal grip just transitions better.
The gun that won at FLOP weighs almost 60 oz. 4.5" V8 with metal grip and tungsten sleeved barrel. -

Except that isn't necessarily true. Most of the Akai's are shorty, the SV IMM is a short gun. 7 of the top 16 were short guns at FLOP this last weekend

I doesn't even have to physically touch. If it breaks the vertical plane of the shooting are it has encroached into the shooting area. I will let you figure it out from there. If a stage designer is not paying attention it can be a really big deal.

There are some pretty significant advantages with the MK 7. The biggest being the sensors are actually available. With the MK 7 the clutch is adjustable on the fly and you can install software and firmware updates in about 3 minutes when new features are added.

I have Mark 7's for 2 1050's and also one for a 650. I love them. I am one of those guys who hates loading ammo and they totally changed my shooting life for the better.

My RF100 was 100% out of the box and still is couple hundred thousand primers later.

What Mount did you end up with again? Something Akai crafted up or PT?
It was a PT mount that was 80% done for the RTS2. One of the other Akai guys finished them up.

I know it's not the point of this thread, but that Arredondo mount is gorgeous compared to what I normally see.

And it failed within 500 rounds. Too thin. Not enough threads.

Both of my PCC buddies run JPs and I've shot them in matches. I went with the MPX initially because I am a lefty and the JP does not have a LH mag release and it is a proprietary piece so I can't put an ambi AR one in. Having gotten the MPX I think it shoots noticeably softer than the JP and gleefully runs 40 round mags. The downsides are mags are more expensive and at least mine will not run 130 pf ammo reliably. Sig dropped the size of the gas port on the Gen IIs which did not help with bunny fart rounds. Still, even at higher PF my MPX is still softer with almost no dot bounce compared to any blowback design including the JP. Both are great tools for the game.
Pretty much mirrors my experience exactly. Only difference is I found a gen 1 and have ran it as low as 105 power factor without issue. All of my friends that had JP's and other blowback guns are now running MPX's.

On the loading run. You need to run the dillon backup expander on the process run to swage.

Much hand wringing over nothing. If the stages are typical Nats stages, Open will beat PCC by 20%.
