  1. Is the lubriplate sfl-1 lubricant safe to touch? Toxic? Safe to absorb into skin?
  2. EAA has the Gold Team safety for $120. Yeesh. Their price hikes are mad. Anyone know where I can get a one-sided Gold Team safety?
  3. What kind of slide racker is that? Who can do that kind of job?
  4. No one holsters their witness with a thumb rest?
  5. I have a newer Elite Match w/ rail pistol with a double-alpha thumb rest sticking out on the left. If I'm looking for a right side holster..., are the ones from Henning's site compatible?
  6. I"m referring to the full size frame kit - 5-1/2" barrel here: http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/1291580.htm I'm going to stick to 9mm minor limited for now. Afterl I get .40 or higher caliber slide, then I'll consider going Major.
  7. Normal PF loads in the 9x21 barrel were discussed, however,... should I be discouraged from shooting MAJOR 9x19 rounds in a 9x21 barrel? Or is it safe? I hear the term "supported barrel" thrown around. This 9x21 comp kit from Tanfo is sold by Numrich... supported?
  8. So, if 9mm major ammo (with this slow burning powder) is not available for me to purchase, and if I'm unwilling to reload my own ammo, it sounds like I'm better off not spending the money for a comp. Right?
  9. Hey, kneelingatlas, that's EXACTLY what I'm looking to do. I'm itching to get the 9x21 just to have the comp and use it for 9mm major open division. I'm glad to hear 9x19 is "functioning" in 9x21's. But you said it "didn't feel right." Did it feel unstable or cause odd movement in the firearm? Ultimately, I'm trying to find out if the accuracy decreased noticably...
  10. I'm reading posts from 2011 about several people shooting 9x19 in their 9x21 barrels without issue except for more frequent replacement of extractors. Any new information / warnings since then that I may have missed?
  11. I don't plan on re-loading. If I'm looking regularly buy 9x21 major ammo, I'm pretty much out of luck in the US.
  12. A 9.x 21 comp is available. Is that ammo hard to find?
  13. Is Major 9mm ammo (+P ammo) safe in a 2011 model Witness Elite Match w/ rail?
  14. Is there any noticable reduction in muzzle rise with a compensator on a 9mm match? Who's tried this out? Is it worth the $$$???
  15. My pistol came stock with a 4.75" barrel (EAA Witness Elite Match 9mm). If I replace that barrel with a 6" one (1.25" of the barrel extending past the slide), would it be legal to use in Limited USPSA?
  16. Would a 6" barrel setup like that (with 1.25" of the barrel extending past the end of the slide) be legal for Limited USPSA?
  17. But I wonder, would the muzzle-flip reduction be noticeable if I pay for mag-na-port barrel&slide porting job on my 9mm match? Noticeable enough for $140? Is that limited legal?
  18. Umm... wow. Henning would make a bundle selling the items you just posted a link for, for Witness pistols, I mean... Any chance he would???
  19. Has anyone ever added a weight to the accessory rail to act as a compensator? A piece of lead that fits on the accessory rail and extends to the end of the frame would accomplish the same thing as a barrel compensator. However, no competitions would allow that, would they? Does such a product exist?
  20. I got the Hogue rubber wrap-around grips with the finger grooves. Sure, it needed some slight shaving to make it fit, but MAN did that make a world of difference for me! My ability to control this firearm is now 100% better - my shots are tighter, and my confidence in my shooting jumped. The hogue grips aren't for everybody, but it was one of the most important upgrades I made.
  21. I spent a bunch of money to get Henning's aluminum grips, and they don't cover then entire opening. I have a newer Match as well. Henning doesn't have any grips to fit the new model. I bought the Sprinco too. Here's how it works, and yes, you have the right kit. Take off the slide, and hold it vertically with the muzzle pointing to the ground. Drop the brushing (washer thing) into the guide rod opening, and it'll fall to the bottom. Now, place the Sprinco guide rod into the frame. The pressure from the recoil spring keeps the brushing in place.
