  1. Sounds like you need to adjust your "fail safe rod" not sure is thats what its called but it sounds like your powder bar is not returning all the way
  2. Silly question ...so you can tell us if you think its better than the fulcrum
  3. I load 9mm at .107 with jacketed bullets and range brass. When i started i bought a SDB and it paid for its self the first year (me and my brother load and split the cost on everything) after a year we decided due to the amount we were shooting it was time to step up to the 650 and it too will be paid for in a year or less. one of the keys to reloading is to ask around at you range and see who else reloads and make "group" purchases, Most companies ship up to 50lbs on one hazmat charge... thats about 14 sleeves of small pistol primers. This will not only help lessen the per person cost of shipping but can sometimes also qualify you for an additional discount
  4. I was shooting MG CMJ and just recently switched to the PD FMJ's (which i havnet shot yet) as they were a little cheaper
  5. buy a cane take the rubber foot off the one end and put it on the other .... hes not cranky at all
  6. Thanks boxer thats pretty much the exact recipe i will be using. I feel confidant that if i get pulled to chrono at this next match i will have nothing to worry about. Hopefully once i get back from Vegas i will have my chrono back
  7. Ive only hand my 650 for a month or less but i was getting the same variation with my SDB of +/- .004
  8. We have had local matches with 15 people on each squad ... We made it work on our squad, the other 2 squads got a little behind. For a major match 12-14 seems to work and keep things moving, mainly because you have dedicated RO's that are going to keep people on pace, if you keep the same mindset for a local match it can be done. On a side note small squad sizes are nice if your in a hurry or have plans for later in the day.
  9. Will i sent it off to CE today. After talking to them on the phone i have to say they are a pleasant company to deal with. Depending on what i broke it could be as little at $18 + shipping to fix it. Ill update this thread once i get it back

    Stormlake barrels?

During my searches i've heard nothing but good things about them. I dont own either but have shot guns with both. I can tell you this neither impresses me that much "I" was just as inaccurate with them as i was with stock barrel but you can use the lead without issue unlike a Glock barrel (per manufacture)
  11. GSSF is actually 3 times, Pensacola, Tampa, then Orlando. But like others have said there are many great clubs to shoot at in Florida. You want to decide what you plan to do with it. If you want to go with IDPA i would suggest the 34, if you want to shoot USPSA i would suggest the 22 or 35. The 17 is nice also and if a great all around gun if you dont want to get tied up in a shooting sport but its probably going to happen anyway so its better to plan for it. You might want to rethink waiting for your GSSF coupon. If you just signed up you will not be receiving one. The made some changes and you no longer receive one for you first year, you now have to be a member for more than 1 year to receive one. BUT you can got o a GSSF match with a glock and you will have a good chance to WIN a Glock Certificate
  12. Long story short i shot my chrono while checking my 115 loads as i switched to a 650 from a SDB so i wanted to make sure the new crimp didnt change anything. I also bought 124's in place of the 115's so i need to get a new working 124gr minor load using titegroup and 124gr precision delta. I did a search but i couldnt find this specific formula for an IDPA The load i was going to build and test was 4gr of tg at 1.135 in a 34, im pretty sure it would make PF for IDPA but now i cant test it and have a match coming up in a few weeks. Any help would be good, im thinking about bumping it to 4.1 or 4.2 just to be safe but if someone has already tested this to be safely above the 125 PF
  13. The lens on the rear sensor got hit and shattered. I have a feeling all the electronics are ok but it wasnt tripping the 2nd sensor therefor not displaying a reading. Either way it going back CE for them to decide whats wrong and how much there gona charge me to fix it. One thing is for sure. Ill be aiming higher from here on out
  14. ok ok here is the carnage .... a nice through and through
  15. Funny story, Just bought my Prochrono, when out to the rang today and some some fun then headed over to a shooting bay to set up the chrono and try it out. After a couple shots up high in the triangle i notice i was getting weird reading so i started shooting a little lower and things got alot more consistent (no more 100+ fpc swings) of course two shots latter boom .... I shot the chrono It still works, Kind of. It turns on and counts shots but it doesnt show the fps right away. When i go back through the review it will randomly show fps but its acting funny. I know one the rear plastic lens is toast all in all the front looks fine. It cant find an easy way to pull it apart to see what the damage really is. I know they will replace it for me at half retail plus shipping but im wondering if there is something small i can fix instead ... Ideas?
  16. Well it happened, I started reloading not to long ago and just moved up to a XL650. When i first got my kinetic bullet puller i thought "ok, this is going the break the first time i use it" Needless to say it didnt break right away but i did manage to break it. It was a hand-me-down so i have no idea how old it really was but i didnt use it that much (or i dont think its that much) maybe 50-60 uses. So two questions is that the norm or was i somehow doing it wrong (smacking it on the leg of the bench) im pretty sure i had the cap tight and What the best (holds up the longest) on out there?
  17. I love my DOH Bladetech it can be mounted with or without the DOH so it legal for both sports http://www.blade-tech.com/Dropped-Offset-Holster-w-SRB-Loop-pr-1163.html
  18. do you have a part number for the knob from Ace? The Home depots around here dont keep them in stock and its $6 for shipping
  19. sorry got a little crazy with the zeros .... i edited the first post
  20. just a random question as im looking to pick up an Electronic scale. I notice that most is not all the big name brands sell scales that are accurate to .1 grain. To me that doesnt seem good enough, am i crazy? Also i notice Uniquetek sell a scale that is accurate to .02 and one to .05 are their scales just better or are the others just being more realistic? The more i read up on electronic scales the more i think i should stay with my 505
