  1. Silly question, Ive been thinking about picking one of these up to be able to quickly adjust between glock 40s&w and 1911 40s&w. I was about to place an order when the thought struck me ..... if im adjusting the OAL will i not also need to adjust my crimp for the new OAL?

    Extended Chokes

I bought a Stoger Condor a year or so ago for a great price as a entry gun for clays and trap to see if it was going to be something i liked. I just recently picked up an 11-87 as i decided it was, Now i find myself looking for chokes for the 11-87 but im not sure which direction to go. I dont shoot clays that often, or trap for that matter. I have a good time but i want to be able to be competitive. Part of me says just stay with the mod choke thats in the gun and the other part says pick up a IC and IM or a skeet and IC. Thats where the real question comes in .... buy flush tubes or spend twice the coin on extended tubes. I understand the whole ease of changing them without a tool but lets be honest its not like it hard to keep the tool in your pocket and I can see it being easier to unscrew a extended choke without a tool then to unscrew a flush choke with a tool. Figured i would ask the minds of greater shooters than me before i go waste money
  3. I had a great time Saturday even with the rain. Had some issues with the gun that were a little disappointing but a good time none the less. Any idea when the final scores will be up?
  4. It has nothing to do with manufactures making more money with increased production. They sell them at the same price to their contracted distributors no matter what the "demand" is. Now if they wanted to fill the demand (if they can) it will cost them more to do use b/c of paying over time and keeping the factory "on" this will in turn force them to raise their prices to make the same % of profit.
  5. DAA sells this http://www.doublealpha.biz/ipsc-holsters-rigs/magnetic-pouches/daa-magnet-with-cr-mounting-bracket and i would love to buy them but im not sure they will arrive in time and the shipping to make sure they do is big BIG money for a $26 part. Does anyone know of a company in the US that sells them? i can only seem to find the combo package but i already have all the mag pouches i need i just want to add magnets to two of them thanks in advance

    OPEN GLOCKS

In action and a still photo I went with the 17 and it has a faster cyclic rate than the 34. I was originally going to build it on a 22 put then decided against it due to mag capacity

    Open Glock build ?

I had issues with it not fully ejecting the round, simply had to lower the ejection port and reapply the angle to it. It wasnt that hard but i wanted to take away as little at possible so i would lower it some then go to the range and test it .... wash rinse repeat probably took me like 15 trips to the range over two days
  8. just to add a couple of things: Remember i talking about 9 minor so im not worried about going over 1200 fps maybe 1100 at best Also what do you consider a significant savings as even in bulk i can get berry's for about .015 less per round for 124's Iv heard they are less accurate by some and they are just as accurate by others so i was thinking about giving them a try but if plated bullets are a nogo in a comped pistol then its not worth me using them
  9. Well i did a little searching and couldn't find an answer. Im not planning on making going to major with the load just 9 minor out of an open Glock. I remember hearing something about not using plated bullets in a compensated gun but i cant seem to find anything except "dont make them go fast" which i dont plan on doing. What say the masses?
  10. BOTH ... can you say New York Reload! that being said Lpatterson covered alot of good points so ill K.I.S.S. Which ever gun you are more comfortable shooting. The 19 can carry more rounds and has a larger grip (that i like as i have large hands) but it needs to work for you and your hands

    Open Glock build ?

Here is mine, Home build. Wasnt that hard really but it was a slight pain to get it ejecting correctly, that was a bigger PITA than the frame.
  12. All Wyndham hotels, Days Inn, Hojo, Ramada and Best Western .... and a few others. not 100% sure they are pro gun but they support the NRA
  13. I cant think of any reason why you couldn't. I understand that those can be DA/SA or a DA only so depending on which it was would put you either in SSP or ESP
  14. I think it is, so i did the frame mount
  15. Round count will be 93 bird and 28 slugs (clean). The $40 includes a match shirt and I THINK lunch but im not sure on lunch being included. Their are less than 20 spots left as of this morning www.matchsignup.org The first one was a load of fun so im sure this one will be just as good
  16. 1.135-1.140 and my 34 eats them up
  17. The Wyoming Antelope Club is hosting their first GSSF Match on January 7th and 8th. Should be a great time and their will also be a side match to help raise funds for the WAC Junior Shooters program. More info at WWW.gssfonline.com
  18. Just as a heads up ... as per the regulations you ARE NOT allowed to use a TSA lock on a firearms case. When signing the declaration form is states that only you may have the key and or combination to the lock. If you are using a TSA lock that is not the case. Im a little surprised they let you use them as ive actually had them tell me i wasnt allowed to use TSA locks on the outer bag. I place my locked firearm case (pistol) inside my normal checked luggage. I do this for two reason. 1st and the best is that it looks like normal luggage. 2nd is that im able to tape a 2nd declarations card to the outside of my case and a 3"x5" card that had my name and cell number on it in case they need to get into the case. This prevents them from needed to cut the locks as if it alarms they open the suitcase find the case that is marked as having a declared firearm in it allowing them to "resolve the alarm" with out cutting you lock or you having a big giant "Take me i have a firearm inside" sticker on you luggage. just my $.02 for all of my airline travels with my EDC however this would also work for pistol matches just not long guns YMMV
  19. SSP recently bumped to expert 67.89. Horrible stage 3 and I guess I pushed down a lil when pulling the gun out of the box as the mag dropped out of the gun before I got a rund off
  20. Figured i would update this .... my repaired Chrono is back after a $40 fix including shipping back to me..... Alot better than dropping another $100

They charge $50 to install the mount add an extra $65 and they'll lower the ejection port while their at it
