  1. Lots of great matches in North Georgia. Looking forward to shooting with you. Welcome home!
  2. This is why no one (scoring RO) or anybody else should pick up discarded mags on the COF until after range is clear...If a competitor goes back to get a discarded mag and its not there....reshoot!
  3. Hello oldgoat welcome to the forum im a member at Riverbend and look forward to shootin with you somtime. I agree with Manny Cherokee has one of the best USPSA matches around its a must shoot.
  4. I think the STOP command can be given in a way that does not leave the competitor shaking in his boots quickly followed by Im sorry but I am going to have to ask you to reshoot the stage due to REF ULSC please.
  5. welcome to the forum, the sport, and lots of great information.
  6. Hello PRK welcome to the forum..... I shot USPSA with the good folks at Hanson Range last August while on vacation. MAN is it hot down there
  7. Charlie mike two noshoots.....all scored
  8. welcome...Lots of good stuff here!!!
  9. At a local level one match a competitor is having major ammo/gun problems...failure to eject failure to go into battery throught the fitst four or five stages competitor finally DQ's for sweeping himself while clearing a jam. Should his ammo been ruled "unsafe" before it went that far.
  10. No problems in my STI edge...so far...2500 rounds without a 'click'
  11. Welcome to the forum and Welcome to the addiction of STEEL SHOOTIN if you dont have it yet you will!!!!
  12. Do you have to have your RO card for a full year before the CRO course.
  13. Glad you enjoyed shootin steel... come join us 3rd sunday every month at SRGC... TSCR steel is an awesome match and a great bunch of shooters.
  14. TSCRsteel.com click courses of fire for complete stage layouts
  15. Had my wife read this..... She says she love you, Mark. Sure hope we are both on that short list of yours too.
  16. The rule says nothing about what the RO saw during the COF. Either the steel was hit or it was not. If there is no evidence of a hit on the popper, no call to RM, no calibration challenge. That's why the rule says steel must be painted. Happy New Year! First thank you for your post on this question. I guess what I am looking for is a rule that supports the RO's authority to call the mike and deny the challenge without getting the RM involved. I hate grey zones...wish i could make this crystal clear to the shooter.
  17. During the course of fire,a competitor engages a pepper popper which does not fall. After the COF,the shooter challenges the calibration. The CRO cannot find ANY EVIDENCE OF A HIT and denies the challenge. Is the CRO correct in his ruling? I beleive the ruling is correct but cannot find the rule to support it.
  18. Wow sombody loves you....Have a great christmas!!!
  19. Hey hows your son-in-law?

  20. welcome to the forum

  21. I've come to realize I need to have Lasik Surgery if for nothing else, to prove to myself there truly is a front sight on my new gun. I've spoken to others at matches that have had great success with it but I've never thought to ask anyone where they'd had it done. I'd appriceate any advice on where to go, where NOT to go and what to look for, from anyone that's been there and done that in the Northern Atlanta area. I'm about 70 miles north of Atlanta but -as my wife pointed out- since I can drive over an hour to a match on a regular basis, I shouldn't complain about driving at least that far for surgery. Thanks in advance... Bruce
  22. First of all good for you...Glad you gave it a chance. My wife and I started competitive shooting about a year ago with GSSF and have really enjoyed it. We were the range officers in bay 7 on saturday. Staci and I have begun shooting USPSA and Steel Challenge as well...Good luck with your new Glock. Fire away with the questions we are both glad to help.
