Ok, I’ll bite: why isn’t it legal?

I’ve done it: move from a 650 to a 1050.
I’d do it again, in a New York minute.
The downstroke priming on the 1050 is worth the price of admission, then there’s swaying!
I added the MBF to the 1050 and made it even better.
Yes, it can be a bit fiddly to get it set up, but it’s worth it. -
Anybody try it with success? I can log in, but nothing seems to work. Open to suggestions...

172 PF, plenty of gas to work the comp. -
You can also use the original reverse plug from your open gun instead of the Dawson plug. You do have to be careful with it. Too much of a bump, and the tool-less guide rod will get released.
Don’t ask me how I know.
But, you don’t have to mess with your comp! -
Wooden board and dowels. It’s an inner bag from my range bag. It hold 40 loaded moons. 320 rounds so I don’t have to reload the moons.

As JayWord said correctly, the course of fire ends with “Range is clear.”
As an aside, if the unloaded and cleared gun falls out of the holster, it is not a DQ. That only happens if it is still loaded. -
I started with a 550. Ran it for two years and added a case feeder. It was quite fiddly, but eventually worked it out. Got a good deal on a 650; no casefeeder issues at all. It ran very well. Started shooting revolver and needed well seated primers. Had trouble being consistent. I found a 1050 at a really good price (used) and have been more than happy with it. Swaging on the press and adjustable primer seating depth on the down stroke are fabulous. I load 9mm major, 45ACP, and revo on it. I added an MBF for my 9mm. It is a dream!
I seriously considered the 650 to start, but was scared of the progressive character of the 650, but really shouldn’t have been so shy. If I had to do it all over again, I would have gone straight to the 1050. YMMV, but that’s just me.
You will be pleased with whatever you choose. All of them are fine machines. -

Best upgrade I did to my 650 was to replace it with a Super 1050. I’ve never looked back. Swager, prime on the downstroke and bullet feeder are worth the price of admission!

Got a pair 40 minutes ago. Timestamped 17:39 and 17:40. Was WTS Akai SS in .40 from ktm300. Hope this helps.

I shot a 9 Major SJC G17 for two years. Major comp and a good load made it a lot of fun. Still runs great, but I fell into a 2011. It does have more mass but I’m shooting the same load. 7.2 WSF, CCI SRP, 124 PD JHP. I never had a problem with the G17; very reliable. YMMV.
