    My Open Airsoft Pistol

LOL my 3yo son likes to "shoop" with daddy. He really loves when I let him "shoop" my airsoft pistol (dry fire(gas only) with me holding it, him pulling the trigger)and then we "shoop" with his nerf guns. I just love when he says "shoop" it is very cute... When my son was born I bought him a .22 Cricket and his Lifetime hunting and fishing lic. I hope he likes doing these type things with his daddy his entire life...

What did you do as far as upgrades? Buy you a Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 and it will be reliable.

    My Open Airsoft Pistol

Yes you can if you first know what to buy and how to maitain the pistol. First I would only buy a Tokyo Marui pistol as a base gun. They are reliable and accurate out of the box. Their are tons of replacment and upgrade parts. WE pistols are not that reliable and can cause some issues. Like anything you get what you pay for and TM pistols are a little more expensive but well worth it in the end. Only other brand I would consider is a KWA but they offer very little upgrade parts for this brand of pistols. As far as the leaking mags it could be as simple as tightning the valve, adding a squirt of silicone oil or grease to the seals, adding some teflon tape to the treads of the seals, or just buying a $5.00 valve. Your issue was minor in the grand scheme of things to fix. Airsoft guns can be a little tricky at times but if you can tinker you should have no problems keeping it running. Their are plenty of info on the net to help problem solve and fix any issues that would come up.
  4. I would like to share a few pics of my open airsoft pistol I am using for training. I have been shooting competition off and on for about 20 years. I have shot everything from poilce combat courses to cowboy action shooting. I am former LEO and started a business about 7 years ago utlizing airsoft guns to train law enforcement. I sold airsoft and trained LEO for tactical training. I knew 10 years ago that airsoft had a place in firearms training. I have since stopped that business but still have old customers from the past. People have asked for me to start back up but my main business I have takes most of my time. Airsoft is more of a hoobby for me now with the ocassional sale of a pistol or training session. I think airsoft also has a place in competition shooting training as well. If you look at the guys at BAM Airsoft they have this thing dialed in. They have some great target system for training with airsoft. Because of my limited time I can decicate to an actual range I have decided to dedicate the majority of my training using airsoft and see how that goes. I know it will work because I know people from Asia that have trained with only airosft to then come over here to compete at the higest level and win. So I know it works. Anyhow enough of my preaching I just wanted to show you my latest trainig pistol.I will be building a limited division pistol next. On this pistol pictured I have a few extra goodies like a compensator that is not necessary when building a traing pistol. A nice basic training pistol can be had for much less than this build. This pistol is based on a Tokyo Marui 5.1. Feel free to ask any question, I will be glad to answer them if I can.
  5. Tokyo Marui pistols are the way to go for IPSC training. They are great out of the box and have plenty of parts from stock to upgrades. Easy to repair with videos on YT to help you take them apart and back together.
