  1. Battery popped out of the optic of a squad mate shooting CO at a recent match. He just finished the whole stage point shooting, surprisingly wasn't as terrible as I would have though, LOL.
  2. Do you really have ZERO pre-travel? Most shooters prefer at least a little bit. Any pre-travel, then the break is two stages... My Infinity and STI Apeiro are both two stage triggers.
  3. I run a single stage in my 3G AR and often wish I had gone with a two stage. If you think about it, nearly every pistol is a 'two stage' and that has never seemed to slow anyone down...
  4. Just make sure you are out there shooting the loudest guns you own whenever someone comes around to check out he property You'll either get left alone... or get some fellow shooters. Maybe you can charge them for range time!
  5. Nice thing with the sig though is if they say no, you can just switch back to a stock grip module. Its a different story for a steel framed gun...
  6. Clear as mud.... I'm holding off on the files and my stock II frame for a while. Flaring the inside of the magwell would certainly be a competitive advantage if you're trying to relate this to the paint in the magwell to aid in reloading. Also, the wording below has always had me scratching my head... it really sounds like a typo that should read "NO more than 1/4" greater" what would that mean anyway, why would it be stated, that wording implies that anything less than 1/4" would be prohibited... "The longitudinal (front-to-back) dimension of the opening may be more than 1/4” greater than the corresponding dimension of a magazine. External flaring remains PROHIBITED." - From the appendix sections for production.
  7. I am certainly interested to check out the PD grips when released. I do want to ask though, The Copper Gun Grips, there site only shows full length grips for the match frame. Do they offer slightly shorter ones for use with the Elite frames? (Stock II, III, Lim Pro)
  8. Hmmm, maybe the cleaner holes is just in paper not the heavier cardboard that USPSA targets are made from...
  9. Is there any benefit over a typical 147gr other than cleaner holes?
  10. Not that I'm saying I'm looking forward to the S3P, but if you look close there is a little hole in the top rear corner of the side grip panels. I'm inclined to say there are going to be interchangeable like on the HKs. Complete guess I have no proof, but based on what I see in the pics it is what I suspect. I may have a lead on a REAL Lim Pro though!!!
  11. I would just order one from blade tech or Ben Stoeger if you like his hanger bracket. (it's what I use) If they don't list the Lim Pro, it will work in the Limited holsters too, same exterior profile just short dust cover instead of long.
  12. I'm probably going to be beaten over the head for this, but I love The Rock! I've watched it a thousand times...
  13. The slide on the S3P looks 5 topped or whatever you call it, probably to lighten it, but I really prefer having front cocking serrations...
  14. I bought a used Infinity Limited gun. It supposedly had about 80k through it, based on the looks of it I believed the seller. The slide to frame fit was starting to get a little looser but not enough to be a problem. About 5-10k rounds later I noticed a crack forming at the rear of the sight tracker rib, this was more of a fitment issue than the barrel being shot out. My point is, at that point 85-90k rounds through the gun, I had Infinity properly fit a brand new barrel to my gun, and the gun has been running flawlessly since. Also, remember with a limited gun, or any iron sighted gun, or even slide mounted optic, the barrel to slide fit is way more important to accuracy than the slide to frame fit. When I got the gun back with the new barrel, the slide and barrel fit like a bank vault.
  15. So I offer a few quasi hypothetical questions... First, they are offering a gun now called the 'Limited' which is literally a Limited Pro, with a SA trigger and no disco, for a backup gun at least, is it so terrible to get one of those, a disco and xtreme trigger and call it a day? I know it's not 'technically' legal... Then secondly, if some one wants a production gun with longer barrel and sight radius, but with a little bit less muzzle end weight, are the expecting us to go for the Stock III P???
  16. Bummer, my response from them gave me a little hope.... yours crushes it...
  17. I reached out to EAA just to confirm all this. Their response when I asked if the Limited Pro (I specifically asked about the 9mm) was being discontinued was as follows: " Thank you for the feedback. This brand is really geared towards our competition shooters and as such, each one of our models has something great to offer for the competition field. That being said, the Limited Pro is a unique firearm in our Tanfoglio line. I cannot confirm whether the Limited Pro will be removed from our list or not but we do rotate our offerings from time to time to best serve our customers. The last I can see we had a Witness Limited Pro 9mm in-house as of November 2016. There is a chance there will be some still sitting in distributors hands. Your best bet would be to call your local firearm dealer and ask them to check with their distributors to see if any are still floating around. Trying to search online will limit you to the stock a retailer has on hand. As for confirming the discontinuation. We have been notified about the buzz on the web forums, but at this time I have not been given an official word from our decision makers as to what is happening. Simple answer is, right now EAA Corp has not made a decision to stop carrying these items."
  18. Also offering an optional thumb safety.......... and PUSH BUTTON MAGAZINE RELEASE!!!!! That's huge for me, I may need one..... Edit: There is an optics ready one coming too, does not seem to come with the 5" extended slide and barrel though...
  19. First I would pick your factory load, IE 124 or 147 maybe even pick a manufacturer and specific ammo offering. then, I would just get the trigger (hammer spring) tuned the way you want, then start testing for appropriate recoil spring. There are plenty of explanations on here and youtube how to do that. Its the same process for all guns. Must of us like a 8-9 lb recoil spring for hand loads, so I would think for factory loadings you would end up with something like a 10 or 11 lb recoil spring. Good luck!
  20. Pretty sure the Stock I is a cone barrel same as the Stock II...
  21. Are you going for a minor PF load or major for open. I have tried it for minor PF when I was first getting started. At those levels it wasn't building enough pressure because of how slow of a powder it is, and was very dirty, leaving un-burnt powder all over the place. Your results may very though...
  22. YUP! You can see if you watch the video. (2:39) I've shot with him a number of times last year, its always been a Lim Pro.
  23. Really?!?! I get the Stock, but why the Limited Pro??? Weren't production nationals just won with a Limited Pro? I have a Stock II and wanted to get a Limited Pro as a backup for a little verity. It would suck if I was no longer able to get my hands on one for a reasonable price...
  24. I'm still seeing a lot of people saying that once the X5 comes out both of these GGI triggers will be production legal, but have yet to see any one explain how... While the externally visible portion may look 'similar' to the factory trigger, neither of the GGI triggers are made BY the original firearm manufacturer, or are offered on an approved gun from the same manufacturer. Even after the X5 is released. The production rules state: 83 21.6 Exchange of minor EXTERNAL components - Sights, firing pins, firing pin retainers, pins, extractors and ejectors MAY be replaced with OFM or aftermarket parts. Any other components which are externally visible may ONLY be replaced with OFM parts which are offered on the specific model of gun or another approved gun from the same manufacturer except as specifically clarified below. Examples of external components which may only be replaced with OFM parts include (but are not limited to): magazine releases, slide stops, thumb safeties and triggers. (OFM................................Original firearm manufacturer.)
