  1. Dang! it's been AWHILE since I've visited the site and gee there's a mess of posts on the little ol' CZ! I apologize for the late replies on the emails fella's! seems like everyone has it handled though good luck fella's seems you've got it under control. Later, Kirk
  2. Well at least they tried! Later, Kirk
  3. Thanks 805ebr just wish I'd have gotten a little thanks from them but hey I just wanted to help some fella's out! went in the hole selling them BUT lots of folks got to shoot 3G without spending big bucks so it was worth it in my eyes. I know any of the Winchester shells I never got any of the 712 or 720 to run them in any reliable fashion. A buddy of mine who is new to 3G has my old 712 and since he got it we have replaced the hammer, piston, op rod, and CZ sent him a new recoil spring and it's running rather well beside the op rod was contacting the forearm inside causing a problem BUT the trusty Dremel tool cured that. Not sure what shotgun I'm going to play with this year but probably not a CZ, not that they are bad shotguns just a bit of a bad taste they left in my mouth with the spring issue. Just remember to oil it up a little more than you think it needs, if you put on too much it'll blow off what it doesn't need Later, Kirk
  4. CZ changed several things, not sure where the lighter spring idea came from??? BUT either way it looks like they have been paying attention. I know I got some replacement parts to help a buddy out and the piston, recoil rod, and spring were all a bit different...... the recoil rod was much beefier which was a good move! the piston was a touch different but I didn't have any calipers to measure and the spring was a S Ton lighter than when I was doing mods to them now if they would just come out with a 24" barrel! 805ebr get with the folks at CZ and I'll bet they get you one in the mail, have them send you the new recoil spring as well. Good to see you guys are keeping the little 712 going! I kinda got busy with life and haven't been shooting much. You guys keep up the work! Later, Kirk
  5. Yes as that's what Kurt had in his bag of goodies, thought we would try it and it worked :-) Later, Kirk
  6. Just get the Big Head safety button from Dave's metalworks :-) works awesome. Later, Kirk
  7. Yeah from what I have run into is anything under 100pcs is gonna cost a bunch! like my springs I had made, I went in the hole on those but just wanted to help you fella's out,now if I'd have made 100 set's I'd have not taken a beating. It's hard to get anything made for a reasonable cost in small qty's zfields I've got an idea for you, might not be as cool but it would work well. Shoot me a pm if you'd like the idea, my guys are busy so I can't get anyone to take time away from normal production. Later, Kirk
  8. I've been in Quality for more years than I care to mention so I know a few shops rather well MIGHT be able to get a favor. 3gungeezer I can one up ya, I've got one that has never been out of it's package :-P I'll keep everyone posted on what I can find out. Later, Kirk
  9. Tony at Make Ready is a hell of a good guy! we were going to add the recoil springs to his site but there just wasn't a big enough need to have that many made were it wouldn't cost me a small fortune. Thing about the CZ stuff is right now they are on an upward slope but it's not steady enough to make a run of 100 or more bolt handles so Nordic has to justify the set-up time and machine time away from a products they sell a mess of. I know a couple of shops here in town I might talk with them and if it's not TOO much cash I'll find out what it would cost to make another run of them. No promises though guys! I have a normal job and a life that enjoys burning up my time like everyone else so be patient. Later, Kirk
  10. At this time in the world and not to sound negative but fat chance in hell of a bolt handle! Nordic made a run of 10 just to see how it would go, well once people found out Tony had them they were gone pretty quick and we have been waiting ever since. Sad thing is that while the CZ has sorta taken off they don't have enough folks out there with them to justify the time on a machine over the other products. Later, Kirk
  11. On my 20" barrel I run the +3 on the 26" barrel I run the +7 but truth it's all up to you but I doubt I'd go with a +5 on a 20" tube it would look off in my eyes but that's just me. Later, Kirk
  12. I don't know if it's the longer barrel or the extra weight but it slows my swing a bit which is a good thing so I don't swing past targets which I had a problem with! never found it to be an issue with ports and the length so far but then haven't been getting to shoot as much :-( A wood stocked shotgun wouldn't look real tacticool but hey the wood stock would probably be lighter just might have to be careful when dumping it off in barrels as the forearm is not real thick. Might just have to see if I can come up with something and a wood stocked 712 hehe Later, Kirk
  13. Fella's just a thought and this is due to me getting one of the 26" barrel, I like it much better than the 20" barrel plus that +7 Nordic tube fits just about perfect. If you can't get the Utility might look into the 26" barrel model. As for the bolt handles I've heard several times it should be soon BUT that was from the time of the first run. Later, Kirk
  14. Fella's looking good! Later, Kirk
  15. Has there ever been a 922R brought up in a courtroom? I'm asking cause I really don't know AND I'm not saying break the law by any means. Later, Kirk
  16. Only time there will be a problem with 922R now since it has been defunded is if a company ask them if it's ok. Without funding how will they go after anyone? I know a sad story about 2 other shotgun manufactures that ask "can I" and they got held up :-( BUT in this day and age ya never know! Later, Kirk
  17. Well I heard this evening that Nordic has the plans to make some more bolt handles as soon as thier machines open up which might be awhile as we know they are busy. A factory shotgun from CZ let's just say probably a fat chance in hell of that happening! myself along with some other people who's names actually mean something tried rather hard to get them to come around but no chance, it would be real simple BUT they have other ideas which is too bad as they have a great little shotgun that would be real simple to make an out of the box rig! not sure how long it will take Nordic to get machine time for the bolt handles but it was voiced that they need to make more than last time ;-) Later, Kirk
  18. I don't EXPECT beer BUT I'm not gonna say no lol. Anyone who needs help I'll do my best as I've gotten help from some really awesome folks, least I can do is give back. I have really yet to figure out why these shotguns aren't getting more attention than what they are. I have about as much chance as everyone else for getting things like bolt handles and mag tubes but I'll chat with a few folks to see what if anything I can do. Later, Kirk
  19. Some folks get lucky! I wasn't one of them so I had some springs made to solve that problem. Just think if I would have been lucky I'd have never learned so much about these little shotguns and how great they are. Rob when Tony gets yours in if ya have any problems I'm just down the road from ya pretty sure we can get any issues hashed out. Gerrit, glad to hear CZ got you a new piston and it works! keep me posted on how things pan out, mine may just have a problem and break if you have good luck hehe. Later, Kirk
  20. What did your port measure before the enlarging? Later, Kirk
  21. I've heard a couple guys that got lucky and had the bulk pack shotshells run awesome in their 712's most well not so much! the reason I made the springs :-) My stock spring I eneded up cutting 3 coils off but now wish I hadn't as I enjoy shooting the full house slugs and buck from time to time and my springs are too light, awesome for birdshot and reduced recoil stuff but I'd be afraid the full house stuff would beat up the action, a few from time to time is not bad. The first run with my shotgun I did the same thing as you, I had a single shot with a mag tube lol. Later, Kirk
  22. I just got the same results as kampr, my Noridc measured .913 but I don't use it. Later, Kirk
  23. 55 round stage sounds like fun! I always dremel an angle at the end of the mag tube, just makes the transition that much smoother so things don't get hung up. As for the diameter differences I've never checked it myself but I happen to have one I can check I've even got a Nordic follower I can take a look at and I'll get back to ya. Later, Kirk
  24. The 11-87 is a great shotgun, like any gas operated system the o-ring is the weak link so keep it clean and oiled up and you should be fine just get out there and shoot :-) I know my little CZ has a mess of rounds thru it and I'll have to say that I'm pretty impressed! I have actually tried to make it fail so I could figure all the bad things about the shotgun, these are just simple great little shotguns that are very underrated since it's not a Benelli or other big name and don't cost a bunch, I guess people just think nothing good could come from a cheap shotgun. Like all shotguns when it comes to 3 gun ya gotta remember that we are pushing these things way beyond what they were inteded to do, how many times do you know a bird hunter or anyone else for that matter that goes out and runs 20 - 25 rounds as fast as they can then chunk the dang thing in a barrel or on a table LOL. Later, Kirk
  25. Crap that sucks! I don't have the size written down but let me see if I can get some dimensions for ya, give me a day or two work has me busy. Just a thought you might call up CZ and ask what size it is IF they know? Later, Kirk
