  1. I'd like to get into a squad with newbs like myself.

You learn much more, when you shoot with better shooters. Shooting with people with the same skills won't help you get better.

I thought about that after I posted that and got to thinking that I'd rather be stuck with some decent folks. I hope there's still a spot open because I just put the form and check in the mail about 10 minutes ago. We'll see.

BTW, being that I've never been to one of these events, I'm curious as to how long they typically last? I'm free the whole weekend, so I'll probably head down even on the days I'm not shooting so I can take it all in and help out, if that's OK with the folks running it. I checked Saturday on my entry form but it really doesn't matter to me what day I shoot. I most likely won't know anyone there, so one stranger is as good as the next, I suppose.

  2. I plan on sending out my entry form and payment today. Is this still open?

BTW, I've never shot a USPSA match in my life, but should have 15-20 USPSA/SC matches under my belt by then, if all goes to plan. So, how does the squadding work? I tried the self squadding thing online, but can't figure it out. I assume you have to have some sort of access code before it will let you? I'd like to get into a squad with newbs like myself.

  3. You won't be able to beat the Midway price but Shooter's connection also has them. You will get a discount if you log in with them as a forum member. Shooter's Connection also sponsors many many matches and stages of major matches.

I would buy from them based on that alone.

+1 for Shooter's Connection. It took them <26hr. from time of order til it was in my hands. You couldn't ask for better service.

  4. I've been spending some time on shooting with both eyes OPEN...no squinting/ blinking the non dominant eye etc.

First step was correcting my vision so I can see the sight.

I need reading glasses type magnification.

    The Drill:

    Using an Airsoft pistol....

I throw a couple of Tennis Balls (the bright color makes them easy to learn the sight picture) out in my back yard.

Stare at the target with both eyes completely open.

Push the sights into my vision plane without moving my eyes or head AT ALL and fire.

    mostly shooting from Low Ready.

I've been doing 100-200 Reps at a time every day.

    It's getting easy now.

Of course you can do this Dryfire but the Blowback of the Slide and the confirmation of the Hit makes using Airsoft valuable to me.

Tips on which Airsoft pistol to buy for this? I don't know squat about airsoft and might possibly like to get one so I can practice. I plan on using a G34 in Production and would like to stick with the same platform if available.
